Lush bath and beauty

Post by strengthofstrings » Sun Oct 07, 2007 16:33

I've just had my first Champagne Supernova, and it smelled wonderful - like Refreshers. I just wish it didn't have a whole forest of paper hidden within.

Argh! I'd have that horrible Oasis song in my brain whilst having a bath if I used that!

I haven't been to Lush for ages. The Swindon one is always packed with chavs unfortunately.

I received my copy of Lush Times yesterday - does anyone else think the xmas stock looks disappointing? As much as I love Snow Fairy, I'd like it if they created another shower gel. And it's all green. I don't usually like the smell of their green products.

Gold, frankincense and beer is very good, as is the silver cloud ballistic, both new this year and not 'green' (I'm not keen on that stuff either).

I just bought american cream and karma solid perfumes, they are lovely!

Oh aye. I think there'd be a war if they didn't bring that back.

Oh yes, I took the virginity of a brand new giant snowcake at Lush Braehead a couple of weeks ago. Joy! Don't have to buy it on ebay any more. Yummy.

Hi Lush fanpeople types. Someone lovely brought me some lovely Lush things this weekend, but there are two things I cannot identify, and I tried looking at the site but I'm still not sure.

Can someone tell me what these are? (ballistics I know, but which kind?)

No one? No one's going to answer me?

Thank you, Anorak. Thanks a whole freaking lot.

The second one looks like my beloved Absolute Delight, which has been discontinued. *sob* I can't remember what the first one is, although it looks familiar. Have you tried asking it? I'm sure it won't mind.

He didn't know which ones they were. He only knew that he would never buy something called Champagne Supernova.

I used the big orange one, and it had little bits of foliagey stuff in it.

It will be entertaining maybe.
I'm not sure he's quite getting the Lush ethos here.

I went into Lush today, for the first time in ages. I realised why I sometimes dislike it so much. The assistants are trained to be like Same Difference on X Factor and they just pester you everytime you touch a product. It's like the Stepford Wives in a shop. The whole fake blackboard drives me mad as well - it's almost as bad as comic sans.

However, I still do like some of their products. I bought a little bottle of Snow Fairy (to see what the fuss is about), Mr Butterball and a Ma Bar. Lots of things smelt like old ladies though. And what's with charging about £4 for a lip balm?!
Just be nice to me.

Fucking hell, they have an "ethos"? That's even worse than having "company values".

It occurred to me recently that Snow Fairy smells like Wham bars. If anyone remembers them? They were very pink, chewy, a bit sour, lovely and look like this:

That Emperor of Ice Cream melty thing is the grossest smelling thing ever. It smells like sap. Who wants to smell like sap? Not me.

I need to take Getting Samples lessons from Yubo.

My mom got me lots of Christmassy nice stuff though, stuff that is glittery and sweet smelling and not sapsmelling.

I got sucked in by the Happiest Woman on Earth. There's nothing she couldn't have sold me.

I'm using that stuff on my legs. It is supermoisturizing, and I can't/don't ever try to smell my legs.

I had the most amazing bath the other day with a Bathos bubble bar (which I still had leftover from a purple-themed gift set I got from someone on this very forum). I wanted to try and get some more of those bars, but they don't seem to have them on the website - has it been discontinued?
