My boots are starting to fall apart, so I'm probably gonna take the oppurtunity and finally buy a nice expensive pair. I'm thinking either these or these. Probably gonna have to start looking around for another pair of non-work shoes too since my old pair old Sketchers keep rubbing against the back of my ankles and taking skin off leaving hella nasty looking callous/scab things.

Mae, I am extremely jealous of the second pair - I spied them on my recent trip to London, but I don't think they had them in my size. Very sad! Hopefully one of the shoe stores here will bring them in for the Australian spring summer.

I am addicted to Campers.

me too, that makes 11 pairs, i think! i'm not really a shoe person, so i just get campers and wear them until they die. which takes a while. my sister is the opposite, she has millions of pairs of cheap shoes. although she does have at least one pair of campers too. i can't wait to get those shoes! i got them to go with my new rob ryan skirt http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3274/264 ... 7e7111.jpg

have you tried the website? don't know what it's like from australia but mine had 30% and 20% off.

I was totally eyeing those in the footprints catalog (while on the loo--best place to shoe shop!) this morning. As well as these cute lil numbers:

Campers' twins just about kill me. I kick myself to this day for not buying the clothesline ones. I think I'd have worn them even $100 worth. Sigh.

Shoe remorse--ain't it a bitch?

I really love these Chloe shoes at the moment:

Image

One of the department stores here in Brisbane has them with a pink and blue heel, and with a silver buckle on the side, but they're $800 or something. Argh! Net-a-Porter has the above pair on sale at the moment, but not sale enough for me, I don't think.

Wouldn't it be terribly wobbly to walk on? All that weight put upon that teeny tine heel?

Netaporter sales are not sales until they're about 90% off, everything's so bloody expensive! I do like a lot of the things on there, but the price tags quickly bring me back down to earth again.

Those shoes are HOT.

I went to Target and bought these:

They go with my, uh, six tops and new purse that I also bought.

I just go these puppies for a steal for the tastyknibbles wedding. I like feeling a little non-vertically challenged. Eveyrone will just have to make sure I don't break my ankle--though they are remarkably stable being wedges and all. I fall just walking around in barefeet, though.

Wedges are much easier to walk in than heels (as long as they're not superhigh).

I wouldn't recommend running for buses in them though, as I found out in March.

OH MY, those are absolutely gorgeous! And they look good to walk in too, which is important.

I am just never doing heels, part of it is simply because I walk so funny now, in terms of stepping wrongly and making my ankles go ow-y, that a heel will surely make me feel even more like that, plus I don't need the extra height. If I did wear heels I'd want shoes just like that, that shade of bluegreen is my FAVOURITE.

Shoes: With flats, if you don't like clunky shoes and I do NOT, they make me feel like Frankenstein, it's annoying that sometimes the soles are so thin it feels like you are wearing no shoes at all.

I have a mid-calf version of these camper boots:

I love them! but they've been worn to the ground. I'm trying to decide whether to replace them or get the knee-highs. What I really want are both. :(

I can never find boots I like. I like them plain with no fancy bit attached to them. I've seen these that I'm thinking of buying but they are a bit expensive

I haven't bought any new shoes in ages :(

These are my recent buy.

I love anything in bright colours and have so many cute little heels but hardly ever wear them because I never know what to where them with. I'm useless at dressing myself.

Thanks, everyone! Now I'm regretting my dress, though...sigh.

They came from Topshop. It was a while ago now but I think some stores still have them. I've seen other colours about as well. I have some similar spearmint coloured ones but they don't have the Tbar

I was hoping they might go on half price sale at some point, all that's happened is they've gone up by £50 :(

I've had a look at them in person and they're well made but nowhere near worth the retail. My only hope is maybe a pair will come up on e-bay one day.
They've gone up another £10!

What am I to do? How much is it ethically possible to justify spending on a pair of shoes?
