I've been listening to the two tracks that have been released so far off the new album by Tim the Mute aka kingfisherbluez on anaorak forum. The one song is called Why Live? and appears to be about whether or not to commit suicide and the second song is called Don't Kill Yourself. It's brave music.

The album's coming out on Lost Sound Tapes.

Listening to Expert Alterations, they're FANTASTIC! I almost feel cheated that they're not play Indietracks, why aren't they playing Indietracks? When are they coming to the UK? Why can't it be this evening? Awesome, awesome, awesome!

I finally got round to getting 'Split' by Lush today after a period a few years ago where I looked up one day and said to myself 'LUSH WERE FUCKING ACE AND NO-ONE EVER MENTIONS THEM EVER' and then listened to the early singles a lot, which were the only things I had 'til now.

And I was looking round the internet and it turns out everyone else thinks exactly the same. Most amusingly in a piece where they were judged to be the Chagall to MBV's Pollock (well, it was The Quietus). So yeah, I'm listening to my favourite Lush songs again and they're still awesome.

And I've been listening to Françoise Hardy more than is possibly healthy. I have a great deal of regret that I didn't do this before.

Anyone heard Rodney Cromwell's album? It's Adam from Saloon and Arthur & Martha. Really fabulous electropop and an intro to die for. Go, Anoraks, go go go!

I love it! Got it a couple of months ago and listen to it loads. Fax Message Breakup and Black Dog are amazing pop songs. Can't wait for his set at Indietracks!

One of my favourite 'discoveries' in the last few years. A bit paisley underground but less woozy, a little poppier.

Also quite liking this. Was initially put off as the whole thing felt a bit Vice Magazine -y but it is a good pop song.
