sebadoh

it's been about five/six years

dug out and dusted down, because of this: http://mamacolive.com/thefly/feature/li ... ers-guide/

it's like having old friends 'round... mopey, often brilliant, often beautiful, sometimes annoying/frustrating old friends 'round

St Rupertsberg, again. How can you go wrong with an all girl octet pop band from New Zealand?

Especially with a song like 'I'm So Fucking Goddamn Lonely':

Vancouver's Ladyhawk (not to be confused with Ladyhawke) are rocking my morning today. RIYL Dinosaur Jr, Replacements, Neil Young & Crazy Horse or Wolf Parade.

Me too, along with the Sperm Wails single from the S.S. Records website. My house will sound like 1987 all over again when they arrive!

The entire Young Marble Giants output inspired by seeing them live on sunday. Much to the wife's chagrin I was singing along to every song whilst being transported back to my teenage years. An other worldly experience which I can't quite replicate in my record room.
