I'm looking forward to 'SSTCR' too.
Been way too long since the last 'Messthetics' comp - 5 years or so since the South coast volume!
One thing that we've known from the start
Deep down inside, we're punk rockers at heart

The person on the front cover is the daughter of one of the people on the compilation*, that's pretty cool, innit?

*verification needed, I may have dreamt this

Reasonable release date announced at last! It's coming out (digitally) on July 15th but you can stream it right now, I know I am

Thanks Amanda. I wonder if they'll release it on something as well, like a cd. I quite like cds, although I know not everyone does.

that yea-ming and the rumours album is great, thanks for the heads up. much prefer this to dreamdate, who were themselves rather good.

Only heard a couple songs so far, but I suspect Lost Time by Tacocat meets the minimum requirements for "good in 2016"

Sorry Michael, I've only just noticed this. We had some discussions about maybe putting it out later in the year or early next year and yes on cd. But I'm a bit rubbish about following up on things so that's a good reminder.

Bandcamp emailed to tell me that since I like Dog Party I should listen to their labelmates Kitty Kat Fan Club, whose EP comes out Friday on your choice of red or purple vinyl. Four upbeat, feel-good pop songs:.

Dog Party's next LP comes out the same day (though I don't know where to stream this one).

The Tacocat album Lost Time is great. If you liked the lead tracks issued - I Hate the Weekend and Talk - then you will love the album. They are also possibly my favourite live band to watch as well.

The album Nosebleed Weekend by the Coathangers is wonderful too. Rocking surf pop.

The Hinds album 'Leave Me Alone' They rock.

All sort of good things. 2016 seems to havve taken a while to get off of the ground but, now everything else has gone wrong, the records have come tumbling out

Apparently, Devendra Banhart is coming out with a new album next month.

Apologies if it's been posted before, but have you guys seen this upcoming Rose Melberg tribute compilation, due out on Sept. 29th on February Records? It's curated by The Very Most's Jeremy Jensen and features The Very Most, Smittens (whose track we can hear right now), Transmittens, Boyracer, LAKE, and a whole bunch more. Sometimes you recognize that Rose Melberg is the absolute best at what she does and fear to hear her imitators, but other times, like right now, this Smittens track sounds super gorgeous and bodes really well for the rest!

This kind of passed me by the first time I read it - especially the most important word: reissued. So thats mean it has already been released before? How did I miss this?
