"Rebellion (Lies)" and "My Body is a Cage" are the only songs by The Arcade Fire I like, which is weird because I cannot even tolerate everything else they've ever done.
Q: I know you are, but what am I?
A: A garbage man.

I love this. Mind you, I probably love more Metallica songs than I care to admit.

Even better than the song are the youtube comments. Like these -
James is just so powerful with this one. He conveys all the emotions of a man with a body of stone but a pure heart. This is what we, men, are like. Perfect.
When you actually think about it, it means so much.
Yes...it is amazing...every line fits in my life (heart) and it is true every word...it is true because it is from the ultimate LOVE...Love for life and everything. "All these words I don't just say"
Thank U:-)

This is really embarrassing.

I'm blushing just doing this. Sorry everyone. Christ, the lyrics are awful.
Daddy is dead on a sunshine day

I'm just going to carry on humiliating myself.

I like this song lots and want it played at my funeral:

Daddy is dead on a sunshine day

Yes, that's certainly a masterpiece compared to his Matchbox 20 songs.

I really like Hot in Herre by Nelly. It still sounds good.

A song so good even the cover versions are brilliant.

I think it's a good song! More embarrassing than that is the Rob Thomas SOLO song that I like. Hell yeah. I'm already regretting posting this. At least the Santana one has that happy drummer.

That video up above is evidently so embarrassing that it's not even available to view in this country.

Yesterday (again) I realised that I'm having a hard time disliking Boston's More than a feeling. I don't know, it's just so... big? good? addictive? Also, it's half of Smells like teen spirit but then two decades earlier.

On a different level I always liked Moby's Run on quite a bit.

Woah there, is that Wilmer Valderamma?

In other news, though I am not by any means a fan of R&B in general and divas in particular, Mariah Carey's "Fantasy" is one of the greatest songs ever of all time in the world.

God, that video is so innocent and naive in its treatment of all things pop and Mariah. Were we ever so '90s?

I feel precisely the same way. This is the only Built to Spill song that I enjoy hearing, and even on occasion single out to play purposefully.

Mine is so horridly bad...yet I have an intense desire to drunkenly karaoke it once in my life.

The lip gloss song by lil' mama.

this pretty much the kind of god awful shite i used to listen to when i was 12. however, maybe, perhaps, this one song, is like maybe, perhaps, ok, maybe if you think about it. it even has rain sound effects in it just like 'well i wonder' by the smiths.

warning! features scenes of raving in a petrol station! man i love those mid 90s eurodance videos.
When the people are being beaten with a stick, they are not much happier if it is called 'the People's Stick.'

I'm from Mid 90s Eurodance Country. Living in the land of 2Unlimited and The Vengaboys there was no way of even trying to escape the happy happy sounds of eurodance. Only Germany was probably worse off.

What's a Wilder Valderama? Just kidding. I don't know but I just noticed that from certain angles it look like Rob Thomas has a nice little set of boobs on him.

Mariah Carey innocence!

In retrospect, what a bizarre video. The contrasts are too much, like the Arrested Development aesthetic with the sugary pop song. Can't you just hear the record company people? "Instead of a fancy sound stage, let's just take all the dancers to a field and have Mariah rub flowers on her face! And no costumes! Have them wear their worst clothes!" They're probably the same dancers to show up later in "Fantasy" dancing in a parking lot. Way to shell out the big bucks there, Mariah. It really took her a while to become awful. And her videos that cost millions of dollars weren't really any better.

'gina lollobrigida' by the cardiacs

it's not a case that I don't like the cardiacs but it was a period in my life where I was being subjected to the cardiacs from one housemate and frank zappa from another

I resisted but 'gina lollobrigida' stuck, I may like the cardiacs now if I listened to them but I don't plan to anytime soon

I here they're enjoying some revived interest from the hipster element

as paul mcartney said, 'and you know that can't be bad'
