'Tunnel of Love' by Fun Boy 3. Been stuck in my head for weeks.

Ironically, I'm very happy with my current relationship.

Withered Hand played an astonishing new song in London on Saturday night, called 'Jubilee', and I can't stop thinking about it.

Ah, the perils of digging out my old Neue Deutsche Welle CDs the other day. My brain has refused to stop playing this ever since - essentially, early 1980s Sparks as re-imagined by (genuinely) a PE teacher from Cologne:

Actually, I tell a lie. It laid off the seaside-related japery for a few hours yesterday and lapsed into this. That boy's got no trousers on. He'll freeze:

Boyracer's 'West Riding House'. I sort of don't want it to ever stop.

Have You Ever Heard A Digital Accordian -The Lovely Eggs. Especially the loud "in hell" bit at the end.
Maybe it's a sign to make Beef Bourguignon tonight?

Isn't there a new FBH album out any day, by the way?

it came out a month or two ago, in single cd and 4cd / 3lp sets (all three albums + ep tracks on cd or download). it's not brilliant. frankly, a 7" of "hopeless" b/w "real summer" and i'd be all set, fbh-wise. the gothic archies totally rule, however.

I must be more easily impressed, then, as I very much enjoyed both of the first two FBH albums in their entirety! Looking forward to seeing if the new one matches up.

I won't be at the next one so it'll have to be Dan (if he's got it). If not I'll do it the one after for you.

'Wichita Lineman' by Glen Campbell because humblebee: http://petegreensolo.com/2014/01/07/sin ... a-lineman/

I can't listen to it right now but just thinking about the superlative singing of "...and I want you for all time" devastates me.

You know when you're standing at the bus stop on a miserable Monday morning and it's pissing it down and there are about fifty people waiting with you for a bus that won't stop and you think, there must be one song that would make every single person here gasp. 'Wichita Lineman' has always struck me as being That Song. That and 'I Only Want To Be With You'.

He's got a voice like the first gobful of a pint you've be gasping for on that song.

I'm sure the producer was going for that sound.

There's a setting for that in Logic Pro these days.
