What the hell? Do you think he writes songs for your benefit? Surely he's allowed to write whatever he wants to.

Changing tack, how cool would this be?:
Sun May 10th - Paris, France - La Maroquinnerie, with support from Xiu Xiu and Casiotone For the Painfully Alone

Thinking about whether it's worth going to Newcastle to see him...

I don't get why it matters or why it's so 'wrong'. Anyway. Jeffrey is a fantastic songwriter and the gig last night was so much fun!

It was a really nice gig, and the Adelphi was packed. Everyone was so excited and I think they enjoyed it too, especially as it was the first gig of the tour. I bought two of Jack Lewis' CDs, as I have most of Jeff's stuff and I really enjoy Jack's songs.

When people have relationship problems, this can cause unpleasant internal attitudes. Your reading of this is quite probably Jeff's intention. He's saying that's how he feels for whatever reasons, because people do that, it's ugly but it's part of the human experience. I don't think he's being throwaway about it, it's in the appropriate context, it's not like he's macking on big booty bitches or anything.

Anyone going to see him soon? He's playing Glasgow the day before The Pastels/Tenniscoats.

Great show in Leicester last night. I still can't quite get my head around the fact that a bloke from New York comes to my city quite as regularly as he does.

It was rocking good fun. They were joined on stage for a few songs by a couple of blokes from Jack's band (The Fishermen three I think they're called), one of whom is a pretty shit-hot guitarist, leading to some proper rock moments.

I went home fully sated

That was Wymeswold's own Dave Tattersall of the Wave Pictures. He seemed to be improvising whenever he was on, so presumably he just popped by.

Excellent night, indeed. For anyone seeing this tour, **SPOILER** the current 'documentary film' is The Story Of The Mayflower, although Jeff hasn't actually got past its setting sail yet.

I was offered a ticket for that when I bought mine for the gig itself, but I didn't take them up on it, mainly because although once upon a time I was very fond of comics and that I never actually got around to reading The Watchmen.

That good info, STN. Wymeswold! I'd never have guessed

The Glasgow show (just finished!) was double thumbs up ace. I don't like leaving the house these days but it was very much worth it. I liked the half-finished Mayflower book and his balding head. Too quiet, though, punters-wise. Wake up, Glasgow!

I was there too! Had an awesome time. His gangsta rap about mosquitos was just brilliant. When you say it was too quiet, do you mean in terms of how many people were there or the fact that everyone just stood around? I actually thought there was a really good turnout for a Tuesday night.

I was honestly expecting it to be sold out so was surprised that the venue was only half full. His mosquito rap was da bomb.

He did that again tonight, Sandy. I would've taken a video for you if I had the technology, but alas. I'm sure someone will have filmed it somewhere.

Heard a thing on the radio last night. It was stunningly, jaw-droppingly, gob-smackingly good. And it turned out to be 'WWPRD (What Would Pussy Riot Do?)' by Jeffrey Lewis & the Rain.

Get 'em on at Indietracks 2014!
