Has it been released yet, Lyns? The only thing I can find is a vinyl on amazon for 8 quid!
I've been looking for stuff by Charles Latham - the guy that wrote "Hard On"...found one download only album on iTunes but that's it. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be grateful.

Providing it's not sold out it should be orderable direct from Fence- it's a singles club thing

£8 including postage is a bit steep. I guess I'll be waiting for another live event.

Have we all seen this?

I do wonder sometimes what the world would be like without 'Love In The Time of Ecstasy' in it.

Went to see a play on Tuesday that had a whole lot of musicians performing songs in it. Most pertinently for this thread, one of those musicians was Withered Hand and he performed two new songs which can be found here - http://throughthenight.bandcamp.com/alb ... -the-night
A New Case in particular is beautiful.

Barring the fact that I was desperate for the toilet for the last hour and didn't want to walk between three stages to get there it was great!
Lots of good stuff on the whole album actually.

His gig at Union Chapel was absolutely amazing. That was my first time seeing him (and first time for little Dora too :-) He's got one of the best male voices I've ever heard. I hope to see him again very soon.
I slice the surface here beside you/Lungs filled liquid yell I love you/Sound moves further underwater
Deep and dark my submarine bells groan in greens and grey/Mine would chime a thousand times/To make you feel okay..

I realise I've even very lucky to see him play quite so many times, but tonight was another great one and with accompaniment from Pam Berry too.
Don't know if it's been said before but tonight he also mentioned he'd be recording a new album in Glasgow in June.

Have also seen WH play a multitude of times now, which is undoubtedly due to living up in the frozen north.

I thought that last night's gig in Glasgow was probably my favourite. I like male & female voices together anyway, and imo their voices go so well together.

Dan seems to have a brand new band too. The accordian/ brass accompaniment was lovely - especially so during No Cigarettes.

Gig sold out in a flash as well. I was fortunate to get a ticket as I had initially missed the boat with this one.

This is a new song, sung with Pam Berry, appropriately named Black Tambourine

And Dan and Pam doing a lovely 'For The Maudlin'

I started listening to Good News tonight but was stopped in my tracks by those first few seconds of singing on 'Providence'. It happens sometimes. Starting an album with one of the most exhilarating lines ever and making it sound like you are about to fall into pieces - that's quite something.

Glad to (finally) hear loads of new material last night at the Queens Hall gig. Sad that the album's looking like being out in 2014. That's a long gap for such an awesome talent.

P.s. I'm not sure how the new band works as they had people from every act performing, but I think Pam Berry is a new member.

Does he ever play that Jubilee song that he did in London a while ago? It was the most gorgeous thing and it seems to have disappeared.
