Pirate Radio??

Post by colleenallcars » Fri Apr 02, 2010 20:21

Anyone have any experience with starting up a radio station? Like, an illegal one?

Advice? How-to? Experiences with such activities?

I'm thinking about trying to start one up, but I'm not exactly sure how.

i knew some kids who were part of a collective that did a pirate station in brighton in the late 90s (it happened for like one month per year, which was a pretty smart way of avoiding burnout, i think) & played some records sometimes but had no involvement beyond that.

a guardian article from last weekend suggests that the internet is killing pirate radio/ is the future.

london pirate radio is an interesting new short film.

Doesn't Pirate Radio usually involve stealing electricity?
