the first single release of the decade

Post by wiaiwya » Wed Dec 30, 2009 17:16

hi

happy christmas and everything... hope you had a great break

2010 is going to be a BIG year for wiaiwya, and we're hitting the ground running with the very first UK release of the decade

it will be the debut solo single by DAVID TATTERSALL (lead singer of the Wave Pictures), a free download of "HAPPY FOR A WHILE" - the title track from his forthcoming album (due in april on wiaiwya), co-written and featuring Stanley Brinks (AKA Andre Herman Dune)

1000 FREE downloads will be available from 00:01 on the 1st January 2010 (that's 00:01 01 01 10 binary fans) at www.wiaiwya.com, backed up with the WAVE PICTURES cover of the Springsteen classic "PONY BOY"

hope you like it, and if you were able to promote it in any way it would be amazing...

happy new year, and speak soon

That's lovely and all, but what counting system are you on? One with a year nought, maybe? Actually, bet it isn't lovely. Probably a bit shit. But either way, it'll be this decade, and not the next one. Kthxbai. Tb xxx

haha, oh, yes... it's dreadful... please don't download it, don't tell anyone it's available, and let's never speak of it again...

must call you on the decade though... 1990 was the first year of the '90s, 2000 was the first year of the 00's, so surely 2010 must be the first year of the 10's?...

nice work, happy new year, all the best

what time in the US (eastern standard time) is your 00:01 on the 1st January 2010? I don't wanna miss out due to the time difference!

Also, I am still waiting to hear that the middle ones record is orderable - any sense of when that might be?

signed,
looking forward to it in 2010

i think you're GMT-5 Colin... so 7pm...

think of us all ushering in the new decade together, and five hours later, under a table somewhere covered in guacamole and left over pringles, i'll be thinking of you

happy new year one and all

There's another year to go before the end of this decade.
As wrong as it was to do,
Those eyes were made to look into.

It's the first release of the "10s". The "10s" is a ten year period, otherwise known as a "decade". Why does it even matter? Enjoy some nice free songs!

Sounds great!

And since the measurement of time is a purely arbitrary concept you can celebrate the start of your decade anytime you want.
Cheers!

It's been said before (by me), there's no year nought. BC1 to AD1. So, the first year of the first "decade" (that'd be your quotation marks, not required) was year 1. And, what with it having 10 years in it, the last one was 10.

It matters because it does. It that magnificently self-explanatory way that continuing breathing, wearing clothes to Tesco and being able to count does. No elaboration required, just the application of a functioning brain.

so, we are agreed, that the magnificent debut single from DAVID TATTERSALL of the wave pictures (available to download for FREE from www.wiaiwya.com) is the first release of the CULTURAL decade

a decade in which to enjoy our functioning brains, brains that are tolerant of other's condecension, ignorance, and obvious lack of taste, brains that are capable of imagination, creativity and free thought, brains that will allow you to download the contraversial debut single from DAVID TATTERSALL, the first of the decade, from www.wiaiwya.com

splendid
