Saw the Ballet last month in New York and my boyfriend managed to catch some of it on his camera, sadly there were so many people talking (they were a support act) that their voices drowned out the band. Grr. But this one isn't too bad.

hey! Are you the Jonny that I met at Grimaldi's? Thanks for posting that. I'm always so bummed when I miss them though I think that time it was just my laziness. Oops.

a heads up -- arts and crafts by bot (chocolat art returns) is £2.46 at norman. it's mis-listed.

also, does anyone have i learned it by watching you by the mean corner? i found a version on soulseek some months back, but it's only ripped at 160kbps & is missing the last song.

bot was greg solo, mean corner was greg & craig i think. neither are as good as the ballet, but still enjoyable.

Nice. I didn't realize they were still around. Sort of stopped following them after Mattachine!. I should pick up that second one as well.

Mattachine was great. I'd hold back from calling it 'subtle', but they really didn't lay it on in terms of traditionally catchy pop music (clay, cheating on your boyfriend). Really nice though. Happy to hear there's new stuff.

OH REALLY? If that WERE to happen, I would be rather interested in getting them back up to Scotland...

excellent! really excited about hearing new stuff. i always play them at our night and there's always at least one person who comes and asks what's playing. i thought they'd split up or something, it's nice that they haven't!

that new album is pretty ace, isn't it ?
I had to rescue it from this horrible supermarket style shop in Brussels though ... but still, very surprised I could buy it there ... have seen quite a few Fortuna Pop albums there ... is it Sean's way of infiltrating the mainstream ? It is always a lovely surprise when you discover beauty where you don't expect it

Radcliffe and Maconie played the new single this week and being the first time I'd heard it I loved it instantly.

I almost didn't know them before Indietracks. I loved the live set, so I bought the cd. At first listening, the live was a little bit better. But I wouldn't be surprised if I like the cd more after other listenings. Good band anyway.
