Email us and we'll put you on the guest list if we can - allo@allodarlin.com it's a tiny venue and we only found out about the pre sale after it had sold out!

I wish you are having a really great time here in Spain, Elizabeth! It's a pity that you are not coming to Valencia, the 3rd largest city of the country, in your 8-city tour; but this is something normal here and I'll just blame The Wave Pictures for that :P At least I've been able to see you twice by now, so I won't grumble anymore.

Shame on me, I just realized The Darlings = Allo' Darlin

Anyone know if the covers 10" will be available from anywhere other than Rough Trade?

I put my Candy Twist interview with them online out of excitement for their Amsterdam show this weekend.

Had a good time seeing them (for the first time) in Amsterdam on the final day of their European tour. Missed them last time they played here, so I was pretty excited, and the band seemed very happy to be playing, and also excited to go home afterwards. A great night.

The 7" is so good. I must say that the whole 7777777 series has been fantastic this year. Roll on 2013!

Yes, looking forward to that! I hope Bill plays Mariah Carey again.

Thought some of you might like to know that we are doing a Riley session next Thursday 31st Jan. We might play some new songs if we can get them together in time and feel super brave. Not sure yet!

Anyway listen to the wireless if you fancy hearing us.

I see Allo Darlin' is playing SXSW, does that mean a US tour is coming?

Sorry no. We're not playing SXSW anymore either. I'm sad about it too!

Tickets on sale for the Compass shows tomorrow 9am!!!

Allo Darlin' play four intimate London dates, one for each point of the compass, showcasing new material from their soon to be recorded third album.

Wed 12th Jun, 2013 - Ginglik
with support from Flowers
http://www.wegottickets.com/event/221137

Thu 20th Jun, 2013 - The Half Moon
with exceedingly special guests
http://www.wegottickets.com/event/221138

Thu 27th Jun, 2013 - St Pancras Old Church
with support from Haiku Salut
http://www.wegottickets.com/event/221139

Wed 3rd Jul, 2013 - The Vortex
with remarkably special guests
http://www.wegottickets.com/event/221141

Allo Darlin' are set to delight and frustrate fans in equal measure this summer by playing four teeny tiny shows at different London venues representing the four points of the compass. The West is represented by Ginglik in Shepherd's Bush, the South by the Half Moon in Herne Hill, North by St Pancras Old Church and the East by The Vortex in Dalston.

Elizabeth Morris explains:

"We're recording our new album in London in the summer, and we had the idea that it would be great to road-test the new songs before we put them to tape.

We haven't played any small shows in London for a long time, and we're aware that sometimes the best venues are the smallest ones. We've always felt that we play our best at these kinds of shows, and it doesn't seem fair that our London audience misses out on them.

So we decided to do a show in every corner of this fair city of ours, in four venues that we have never played before. It's a London Compass, if you will. An ancient church, a jazz venue, a converted Victorian WC and, of course, the classic, a back room of a pub.

We will be playing a lot of new songs, but of course there will be room for old favourites.

With some amazing support acts, we hope you can find time in your summer to join us."

made my choice (st pancras) partly due to the venue, partly the support act, but largely because it'll be a seated show!

Lazy bastard.

The St Pancras show is sold out now, but if there's anyone else who requires seating there are still about forty tickets left for The Vortex at the time of writing.

Of course you're not GUARANTEED seating at either venue. Some people do have to stand.

just a little tip off that Elizabeth is playing at the Hongover Lounge on Sunday (5th May) for FREE with David Westlake and the Mexican Postcards...

the live music starts at 3, finishes at 5, and it's a tribute to Grant McLennan, so expect a Go-Betweens cover or two
