Very happy to finally confirm our support in Glasgow comes from the lovely Maple Leaves.

Looking forward to seeing some of you around the UK next week.

Adios!

Can't wait to see you at the Deaf Institute on Thursday! Have even managed to sort a lift home so I don't have to miss the end of the show like I did last time you played Manc, running for a train which I missed and had to fork out 50 big ones for a taxi home! It's a good job you're worth it.

What was the cover version they did on Thursday night? I didn't recognise it!

Great gig BTW. For a first night of a tour it was a pretty spectacular success I would say. I don't think this band realise how good they are. It must have been a sell out as it was absolutely packed out. I liked the way they didn't just play all the new stuff from the forthcoming album. Plenty of older tunes played such as Girlfriend, Polaroid, Darren, My Heart Is A Drummer, Kiss Your Lips and Dreaming (although I don't recall them playing If Loneliness Was Art?).

The new material sounded absolutely great so really looking forward to hearing the new album in the summer.

P.S. credit too to the two support bands who were both good (particularly This Many Boyfriends)

In Glasgow they played 'If You Don't Pull' by The Just Joans. Was it that?

London types - don't forget they're playing at Heaven on Thursday 19 April with Herman Dune.

I'm absolutely gutted to have missed Allo, Darlin' in Cardiff this time. Sadly, I'm not yet fully mobile after my operation...hope they come round again soon...

As for me (as a number of you wanted to be kept informed), the operation was successful, although left me in a lot of pain (they had to cut through the groin, hance me not being fully mobile yet), and I've had the full body scan amongst other things, and loads of blood tests.

I hope to have the results in a week or so. I'm quietly confident that it was caught early and that the cancer hasn't spread...but, don't know that for certain just yet...so, fingers crossed...

Anyway, back to talk about Allo, Darlin'....

That's a lovely interview. It made me go back and re-read that blog of yours after the European tour. Still brilliant.

Hey guys. Thanks for sharing the Monster Bobby interview. I think it's probably the best one I've ever done, which is entirely down to him! He's a really great writer, but I guess we all already knew that.

We've got a couple of shows coming up in London, Kent and Cambridge before we stick it Stateside with the Wave Pictures.

This Thursday at the Bull and Gate for unofficial BBC 6Music 10th birthday fun. Maybe Lammo and La-Lav will be there! Tickets here: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/156679

Then Easter Saturday we're playing our drummer Mike's venue in Ramsgate. He just opened a couple of weeks ago and it's lovely. It's called Caboose, and it's tiny: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/158255

Very excited about playing with Herman Dune in London on 19th April: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/151676

Then back to Cambridge, where we'll play Dear Stephen Hawking :) http://www.wegottickets.com/event/151233

Hopefully see you at one of the shows,
E xo
