have just subscribed to the hozac series. it's $89 (world) for the set, paypal to todd at horizontalaction dot com. first three 7"s are due to be sent in late february.

the email does say that "tentatively, we'll be releasing a 2009 Hookup Klub LP/CD comp after the records are all unleashed, which should include bonus tracks and other feather-ruffling ephemera."

I've emailed Todd twice now over the last couple of weeks asking how to subscribe but no answer. I'm at work so can't get to the Myspace page, can you now join up through their page?

They are listed on both the club's myspace http://www.myspace.com/thesmell and website http://www.thesmell.org as playing (on the 28th!)

i wish she'd put her cover of "play with fire" (which i always thought was a dead moon song, whoops. the rolling who?) back on the myspace because since she removed it i've learned of the joys of the file2hd site. but maybe it will be on the lp.

[edit: it's back up now, hooray]

re. los angeles, i've read that she may be playing in late march with blank dogs, so you might not have have to wait til may.

i must've checked the captured tracks myspace & c.t. thread on terminal boredom about ten times yesterday in anticipation of the announcement, forgetting that thursday in america often = friday in the uk! can't wait. i also ordered the blank dogs 12" of course.

Much of it is the shipping... it allways gets quite expensive to ship a 12".

That is why i have so many more 7" singles compared to LP/12" releases ^_^

yeah, shipping is expensive, of course. and in this case the sleeves are silkscreened which drives the cost up a bit, too. i'm glad the record is a 12" rather than a 33rpm 7", though.
