I think it's a band called Schnapps. I've seen the poster advertising this gig about in a fair few places so there was a *wee* bit of promotion done :)

yeah, their album is pretty poor, apart from "i wanna kill", which is excellent. still, half the band is married to dum dum girls, so they're cool by association.

hmmm, the link seems to work now - but i can't bring myself to spend US$20 on a 7". I don't know much about postage rates, but I doubt it costs US$14 to send one 7" record.

And the way they have set up the payment through PayPal doesn't let you combine postage for multiple copies.
Cheers!

to order multiple copies it'd be simple enough to contact the email address on their website to ask for a combined total.

i agree that the record is overpriced. if copies hit rough trade it might be a quid or two cheaper. unfortunately with trendy bands it's usually a case of buy now or miss out. still, "brite futures" is also on the cd that comes with yeti 7, and will be on the art fag tape compilation (tho that'll probably be pricey too!)

just saw dee dee and co. here in los angeles last saturday, and wow! really, really excellent. even more surprising is the fact that she only recently assembled her all girl band - they were great.

oh, and there was a full-on girl fight in the crowd during one point of the set. somehow seemed kinda perfect. hope it shows up on youtube!

am a bit late hearing of this, but in case others didn't either -- dum dum girls & crocodiles did a christmas song together

world tour of london next month -- feb 24: old blue last, feb 25: bardens, feb 26: lexington, feb 27: the rest is noise, march 2: madame jojo's.

bought a bardens ticket before realising that's the first night of the popfest. shouldn't be difficult to hit both shows, though; fortunately cafe oto's nearby.
