The Pains of Being Pure at Heart

No Pobpah thread on Anorak? Durrr!

Here's an ace video of them playing 'Doing all the things that wouldn't make your parents proud' in Iceland a couple of weeks ago. Humblebee will appreciate this - he loves this song.

Note otherwise ice-cool roadie Danny (aka Jesus) smashing the drums instead of Kurt.

I love the Pobpah and I miss them.

I'm really not trying to upstage you but for a whole variety of reasons that split has made my year (both sides) (both sides of the single that is) (perhaps both sides of my year too, I'll have to see)

'kurt cobain's cardigan' is here in my heart forever and ever or until I die whichever comes first

such an awesome band

If I hear one more lovely word about the split single today I might actually cry. Please tell me one more lovely word. :)

I just watched that video again and oh my, I can totally see the Kip-is-a-sex-god thing. Hope he's not reading this.

Wrong thread and wrong band i know, but i recognised it instantly when the DJ picked it up tonight and realised he was going to play the Parallelograms because of the yellow label! It would have been great to hear the blue side in the Buffalo Bar again.

Aw, but didn't The Parallelies sound adorable played so loud, especially straight after the Pocketbooks set? I could have died of happiness, right there.

I was gonna ask what's everyone's favourite Pobpah lyric. What's everyone's favourite Pobpah lyric?

My parcel arrived yesterday and I LOVE it! Tonight I drove home listening to them and it made my trip so much more enjoyable. I am so addicted, and really really wishing I could see them live.

Favourite lyric is:

"please don't tell me i'm your friend, i am much more than your friend"

love love love!
you're just too obscure for me

After having listen to 'Come Saturday' about a million times in the last couple of days, I am really fond of this bit:

Come saturday, you'll come to say
Maybe there's no harm
In a wasted summer with no drummer,
We're gonna stay in

It's kind of surprising and personal and I love it.

I just went to order Kurt Cobain's Cardigan and it seems to be sold out everywhere. I'm gutted. If anyone knows where I can still get it, please let me know. I've tried all the distributors listed on the ABR site.

Ach, sorry Colin. Thee SPC haven't listed it on their website yet so maybe you could drop them an email to see if you can reserve a copy.
