Your Indietracks 2018 wishlist

Well, why not?

Which bands/turns/artistes would you like/love to see on the bill for 2018?

From the not yet played the festival to the never apparently been asked (as far as you're aware) to the possibly fanciful (i.e, probably expensive and/or located faraway or currently 'resting'/suspected not still performing) to the bands you'd like to see return who weren't on the bill in 2017...

A prediction: The Lovely Eggs will play the "could only headline Indietracks" Friday night slot, and deservedly so.

Also:

Crystal Furs
Sacred Paws
Nachthexen
Yassassin
The Goon Sax
Alvvays
Amber Arcades
Brad San Martin
The Posies (or any Jon Auer project)
Linden
Jetstream Pony
Thee Mightees
Bossy Love (well if Lucky Soul can play)
Kero Kero Bonito (see above)

Would be a welcome return:

Teenage Fanclub
The Smittens
Skeletal Shakes
The Garlands
The Thyme Machine
Withered Hand

A man can dream:

The Replacements
Real Estate
Standard Fare (seeing all three of them in the same place this weekend kindled a spark of hope)
Ride

That'll do for now.

For me that would be

- Flowers
- Even As We Speak
- The Wake
- Luxembourg Signal
- Surfer Blood (!!! They are SO amazing live ! But maybe too 'Californian' for Indietracks ..)
- The Softies
- Braids (I know it's not 100% the kind of music expected - not even 50 probably, but if The Hearing was on the bill this year, then why not ?)
- Same for Keren Ann, she's great live and we've had Emma Pollock and Cate LeBon the last 2 years so why not amother 'popular' folky frontwoman ?
- Sleater Kinney
- Laetitia Sadier
- Robert Forster would be great indeed, or the band his former Go-Betweens bandmates formed (forgot the name)

All of the above, obviously. And... this is possibly going to be a controversial one, but I did well up a bit watching bits of Sleeper's recent comeback gig on YouTube. If they're good enough for the Just Joans to give them the nod...

Oh, and am I the only one to think Julia Holter might fit Indietracks (well, except the fact that she's probably too "big") ? I've been listening to "Have You In My Wilderness" five times this week already, and I can't help thinking of one day hearing such beautiful music in "our" little church :)
