Ticket panic !

Post by Quality Janitor » Wed Jul 24, 2013 19:29

I thought our Indietracks tickets were e-tickets, but on trying to dig them out today we found no e-tickets, only an email receipt (7th May) confirming our payment had been made. A further trawl through emails found a later one telling us that our ticket status was "tickets shipped" - but we have received no tickets by email or post !

This is our first Indietracks - should the tickets have arrived by post? We will phone Butterley tomorrow but any advice in the meantime would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi, please don't panic, it will all be fine. :-)

The tickets should all be printed at home. We don't post any out. (The "shipped" thing is confusing, but we can't amend it sadly.) There should have been a link in the emails you received enabling you to print the tickets at home. If you don't have an email with links, you may be able to log into your 'google wallet' account, to access the printable tickets.

If this doesn't work, please email indietracksfestival@gmail.com and we'll make sure you get into the festival. It will be fine I promise!

Hope this helps and sorry for the inconvenience.

My Google wallet doesn't show a link to print a ticket, there is a "Transaction ID" on the google wallet page... I was planning to print that out and bring it along. Will that be enough?

Thats pretty much all we have - a payment statement to midland railway, telling us two tickets purchased, the cost and transaction number, but thats all. No links, no tickets giving indietrack details / dates etc?

Is this all we need to sign in?

Hey, I had a huge Ticket Panic 'cause I thought I didn't get the ticket mail, but check in the SPAM folder, some hours (a day perhaps) after it appeared in my GMAIL SPAM FOLDER. So, check it, perhaps is there, an email called DATA . Look into your folder for "data" or "Rail" . Good luck!

Thanks for the tip, I had a look, nothing in my spam folder either. Worth a go though.

Hi, sorry this has been such a pain. If you can't print the tickets, please email us on indietracksfestival@gmail.com and we'll help.

Sorry, the transaction ID is useful but we really need printed tickets, so please email us if that's not possible.

Panic over! It's started working and again and the tickets are now booked :-D

So now just need to leave booking the camping to the last possible minute and then we're all sorted.

Hi tonieee, was it our main website or the ticket site that was down? Hopefully it wasn't down for long but we'll look into it. Thanks for booking tickets!

It was the ticket site. The error message was a mysql error about not enough available connections. I guess there were several other people last-minute buying too.

Oh brilliant. I've heard nothing about my tickets and or pass and now I've missed the deadline (by 44 minutes(. I know I've not been on Anorak for ages and I should check more often.

Thanks tonieee, we'll take a look in case it's something we can fix.
Michael, Nat's just replied to your email.

While I'm here, and almost on topic, here's a new Popguns Indietracks interview by A Layer of Chips:

Thanks Andy (and Nat). Yes I've got the email now. My fault but I got caught up tidying the house. It was a big job.
