Big Pink Cake Weekender Bristol Nov 6th & 7th

Post by bigpinkcake » Mon Aug 09, 2010 12:01

After many false starts and cock ups (not ours) we're certain we've got this year's Weekender sorted. Sorry for all the confusion earlier in the year. Put this date in your diary - we promise it'll be ace.

Line up and more details coming real soon.

ooooh. Nice. Hope to come along for this.

Got The Membranes on the 5th of November, so hopefully no other clashes will come up!

With a bit of luck and so many great things happening, we'll end up having to take time off pop to go to work.

Looking forward to it, Bristols. x

If it's anywhere near as good as last year's it will be fantastic!
Cheers!

Here, in no particular order, are a number of confirmed acts for the Big Pink Cake LONG Weekender (we're doing a London show on Friday Nov 5th too);

Peru, Farthing Wood, The Sunny Street, The Garlands, The Electric Pop Group, Dorotea, The Fauns, Hong Kong In The 60s, Simon Bish, Jam On Bread, Lonely Tourist, Doggy, A Fine Day For Sailing, The Mai 68's, Standard Fare, The Kick Inside, The Blanche Hudson Weekend and The School.

How's about that for a mighty fine international line-up? There will be more bands to announce very soon and details of how to get tickets.
Get the dates in your diary and book time off work if you need to!

Expect Fireworks!

For those travelling by train (from London, not sure about other starting points) - there are super cheap deals on at the moment (hope this link from an email works for all):

http://www.thetrainline.com/farefinder/ ... fare3_fare

Just got two singles to and from Bristol for £28 each - including booking fee.

We're travelling up on the 10:12 on Saturday 6th November. Returning Monday afternoon.

The Trainline (trainline.com) currently have a deal for 2 x single tickets....

Outbound from London Paddington at 13:12 on Saturday 6th November

Return from Bristol Temple Meads at 22:05 on Sunday 7th November

for £10 each way!!!!!

Obviously this means you might miss a couple of early acts on Saturday afternoon but it's such a good deal I thought I should share it.

We are gonna endeavour to finish on the Sunday by 21:30 so that people with trains to catch can still fully enjoy everything we have to offer.

Next post will be details of cheap accommodation in Bristol for the Saturday night - ASAP

Hxx
