ah, i was going to post about this event too.

it'll be great, i haven't been to a show in bristol since bring yourself fest, which was one of the most fun weekends ever. am going to have to return to london on sunday afternoon, unfortunately, but i'm more into the saturday bands so that's bearable.

local kid is a great label, as is stitch-stitch (i've been listening a lot to the forthcoming ray rumours album recently; i think a lot of people on this site will like it).

yeah, it's mainly non-bristol bands. a lot of them are going to be very different, because it's co-curated, but i think that's a good thing. expect bang-bang-bangs next to la-la-las, especially on the sunday.

i'm so flipping excited about this album! they are all sitting in my bedroom. don't worry, you'll be hearing a lot more about this in the coming months.

i think the date & venue were only finalised this week.

it's sat 21 feb at the red rose, 129 seven sisters rd, N7 7QG
bands are corey orbison + roseanne barrr + jelas + husbands + universal orders + chaps + drunk granny + (possibly) humousexual

i wish kristofski kabuki were playing too.

roseanne barrr are really good, it's patrick from husbands on bass & a drummer, they've got one ace song that's cowbell-heavy & kind of disco. i'm not wild about this trend of bands with extra letters, but i guess it's about being googlable.
