It's one of those dates when everything that is good about the world is happening. Say you'll be doing another one after that, Shaunpops. It looks so very great.

I really hope so, we shall see how the debut goes. I like the idea of doing it semi regularly in different place rather than trying to do it again and again in the same venue. It would be ace to do it town to town and city to city.

Yeah, hope it goes well, Shaun.

If I wasn't being a swanky sellout on Saturday I would TOTALLY be there. Sorry, man.

Good luck!

Thank you my darlings. The Facebook thing says we can expect 60 people, so in reality we I'm hoping for 20-30. That would be ace. The new swank-city mega club (thats just had a million pound make over) about 100 yrds from our venue has just announced an 'alternative' night with some NME sponsored durge of a band. I'm hoping (praying) we can prove cheap and nasty is better than expensive and nice.

If your night turns out to be as good as your flyer then you have won already!

It went so, so ace. We were honestly expecting maybe 30 people. We had the place to capacity with people queueing outside in the pouring rain while the doormen did the old one-in-one-out. Bonkers. We were supposed to play until 1am, but the venue made so much money on the bar we played til half past two. That extra box of 7"s came in handy.
What I'm most proud of is despite having a clientele ranging from original c86-ers to people who own a copy of Different Class and and a SHINE! compilation, everyone GOT it and had an amazing time. It was a bloody thrill seeing so many people dancing and smiling. Theres not many times the reality out does the daydream, but this was one of them.

Due to the making-it-up-as-we-go-along nature of the evening, I only kept record of 2 of the night sets, but here they are-
