Places you really want to see (in North America)

Post by gloom button » Wed Oct 17, 2007 14:53

I want to visit the the Museum of Making Music.

Mostly I just like the name and how it looks on this sign

I'd quite like to see Scunthorpe in North America.

I've always wanted to visit Savannah, GA.

Also, the Liberace Museum in Las Vegas.

And the "World's Largest Artichoke" in Castroville, CA.

The two latter would mean my travelling further west than Chicago, which I've never done before.

Could you please try to find something even further away from South Florida?

Now Rowlo and I will have to spend our entire evening creating some sort of moderately impressive music-themed museum in the living room.

I have some sort of jingly shit thing, a weird twirly drum thing, a melodica, a guitar, a maraca*.

*singularness in intended here. I totally lost one. How useless is one maraca on its own?

i'd like to see niagra falls, and the desert, and texas.

You're pretty close to Niagra, right?

squirrelbooty: the cat that created the "Somerville Gates" lives in my town; perhaps I could set up a consultation w/him for Rowlo?

I may just strap the maraca to one paw and place a tiny but official looking tour guide hat on Rowlo's head to trick that gloombutton fellow into thinking he's stepped into a museum.

my house is certainly dusty like a museum

Also, I think maybe that is not a real artichoke.

First the tooth fairy and now this? Please don't tell me Liberace wasn't a ladies' man.

Ah, I've been to both of those! They are excellent.

Though if you're going to go to Castroville, you also have to head south and see The Museum of Jurassic Technology in LA and the giant dinosaurs in Cabazon.

i really want to see one of those dinosaur parks like the one in peewee herman's big adventure. also, it is anorak's official policy to not tolerate any doubting of liberace's heterosexuality.

You can see those dinosaur parks on the way to the Grand Canyon though!* I have a photo of me trying to climb that one brontosaurus.

*unless I was really lost.

I wanna see all this shit and more! I want to visit every city and backwater except anywhere in California, and bloody Manhattan, never again! I especially want to go to the space centre in Houston, that would rule. Its address is Nasa Parkway - cool!

I'm total cheese in that I'd love to go the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Disneyworld, Hollywood, etc.

But I never travel and I've only been outside of Canada twice in my life.

Disneyworld when I was 3 and camping in Ohio when I was a kid as well.
