Grimsby's going to have a film about it: http://m.imdb.com/title/tt3381008/?ref_=m_nmfmd_act_1

Doesn't sound like it's going to be very complementary.

Me and Jo are going to be staying in a caravan in Cleethorpes for 4 nights from Monday. What the hell should we do with ourselves?!

Go to Steels for fish and chips and a knickerbocker glory.
Er.

If you've got a car it might be good to go somewhere else a bit. Kinema in the Woods sounds fun, but it's miles away in Woodhall Spa. I think Pride is on Tuesday lunchtime if you fancy that.
Go have a walk on the wolds
Go on the little train thing through the park and visit the tiny pub at the end
Day out in Lincoln?

Sam might have some better ideas. Everytime we go to Cleethorpes I go to the boating lake all excited to row a boat and they are always, always shut.
Daddy is dead on a sunshine day

Tuesday night you should get yourselves to see the Mariners play Southport. El Classico.

It's ok, if we were really looking for a holiday with lots to do then we wouldn't be going to Cleethorpes off-season! The plan is to do switch off and do very little and since we won't have a car I think that might be the case! Thanks for the suggestions though, I'm sure we'll get through some of those.

Take a trip into Grimsby to the Fishing Heritage Centre, which is genuinely great.

Hey, I'm going to that. Yeah, come to the football with us!

Drink beer at Willy's on the sea front - corner of High Cliff Road, just behind the lifeboat station.

Cute shops and cafés on Seaview Street.

Other than that... um. Yeah, like Lisa says, the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway is ace. The main station in the middle (Lakeside, I think), get off there and have a drink in the Signal Box - it's the smallest pub in the world. I mean officially. It actually is.

Also there's a new zoo thing - I dunno what it's like.

I'm assuming the caravan is on Humberston Fitties, in which case it's brilliant just walking down the beach at that end, cos it's totally empty and you can go ages without seeing a soul.

So there's a political party called Lincolnshire Independents.

Its vision seems to be that there shouldn't be any politics in Lincolnshire. Instead of having politics, everyone should just do what's best for Lincolnshire.

Because presumably everyone can agree on what's best for Lincolnshire, and you don't need to talk about it. That's the sort of thing they do in other places, where they have politics.

Nearly all the links on the Lincolnshire Independents website open Word documents.
