What would you suggest to someone who has a few hours to kill in Belfast on Saturday afternoon?

Botanic Gardens and Avenue are indeed lovely. There might be a bit of rain on Saturday in which case I'd also suggest visiting St Georges Indoor Market between 11 am and 2:30 PM to see some local crafts. I'd thoroughtly recommend getting something from the Creperie which is just to the side of where the musicians play.

Then pop down to the Belfast Barge .. it's a cafe/bar on a boat beside the Waterfront, with free wifi, and there's a little museum downstairs, no charge.

Then, the Blackbox cafe nearby often has little arts related events on on a Saturday afternoon, but it seems to be quiet this weekend, but there's always the Oh Yeah Centre ( yes, named after the Ash song ) round the corner, which is a musicians drop in centre/recording studio but there's a permanent history of Belfast pop/punk/rock music exhibit open free to the public

Hope you have a good time whatever you get up to.
