Just on the off chance, does anyone in Glasgow work in foodservice and regularly throw away large food-grade plastic buckets? I could use a couple.

Yes. No. Not sure yet. I want to. I probably will... It's just that I have too much to do, with my final review of the semester on Tuesday and I kind of want to go see Ali Roberts on Friday as well. Probably more than Vivian Girls? But the answer is: hopefully, yes.

Anyone going to see the POBPAHs at the Captain's Rest tomorrow night? And how about the Herman Dunes on Sunday?

Is Herman Dune sold out? I'd like to go but may have to be in Aberdeen on Sunday night.

It looks like there’s going to be another Little League at Queens Park Bowling Club on Friday 30th January, and it’s going to be ticketed. Does anyone think they’ll go? I want to get a ticket now but only if other folk are going to be around. The link’s here:

There’s also a Christmas Little League on 27th December at the Woodside, limited to 200 I think so it should be slightly less of a sweaty nightmare.

NPL must be the first club night to do endless farewell tours. Which is perfectly fine by me. I'll be at the Queens Park one, but I may give the Woodside a miss depending on mood, weather, etc.

Does anyone know where I can get takeaway falafel in the city centre? I'm craving it badly.

I've just read this on the WeePOP! site:
They are playing a pre-release gig in Glasgow this Friday (16/01), at a new indiepop night called "silence can break your heart" (gotta love hefner!) at The Captains rest in Glasgow. If you have the chance to go see them, don't miss it.
The 'they' in question is The Felt Tips, by the way. Does anyone know anything about this new night? Are they doing club nights at The Captain's Rest now?

according to their myspace page, they don't have a set venue but it looks like they're going to doing a club night semi-regularly. competition, colin!

Ooh. Glasgow is not going to have seen anything like this since the ice-cream wars!

all this talk of glasgow lately has made me feel really sad that i never got my 6-months-living-in-glasgow chance. a dream unfulfilled forever. it makes me want to cry sometimes!
