I think we're heading for some luncheon on Sunday in the 13th Note if anyone fancies it.

Glasgow-ish Theme Park Fun

Who's up for some rollercoaster action, then?

I'm scared of rollercoasters. I was sick on the big one at the garden festival like that blue peter kid. It was horrible - people at school laughed at me for MONTHS after it, even the bastarding teachers.

i've never been on a rollercoaster, and i'm not going to change that situation now.

i will however be happy to go and win some coconuts on the stalls, or maybe even a goldfish.

I won two goldfish when i was wee, and then they both died within two days, not before my Gran came in to my room and said "you wee bugger that you are, you're turning this house into a bloody menagerie so ye are, so ye are!!!"

If anyone's at a loose end on Sunday, they should go see 'Wilbur Wants To Kill Himself' at the GFT (6pm), which is being shown as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival. It's great.

Free tickets are available from the cinema on the day of the screening.

YES! ME. I want to go somewhere that's got scary rides that make your face go all wrong, and spinning teacups, and a log flume. And candyfloss.

Also, I take back all the bad things I said about the new I Heart Candy on Byres Rd*. They had a Grand Opening last night, and it turns out it's brilliant. My favourite part was when the bird at the till was making me try some bizarre form of so-called "candy", and she said in awed tones: "They're handmade... in Helensburgh." She didn't actually add, "...if you can imagine." It was certainly implied, though.

*Except about the name. My disdain still stands.
Don't be thick in front of me.

The Winchester Club is back at the Flying Duck, 142 Renfield Street (just up from the Atholl, near the old STV building) tomorrow night. Its £4 in, and we run from 10pm-3am playing a superfine mix of tunes for your dancing pleasure.

Eeee!

Who's coming then?

I want to go and see lots of ace Glasgow stuff like the Charles Rennie Mackintosh place but I'll be carting me guitar around and I'd probably knock everything over.

We should hopefully be down. Are you just here for the day of the show and then off the next day?

Anyone fancy a couple of pints tomorrow night? It's my first day back at work, I'm going to need booze afterwards. I wouldn't mind going to the Laurieston, or anywhere really if it's within walking distance of the underground.

i would love a couple of quiet jars tomorrow (off work on tuesday and it would be nice) however, i currently find myself financially embarrassed until i get paid and really can't afford to go out anywhere until after pay day.

Another night in watching Coronation Street and Eastenders is on the cards i fear.
