GR8.

I've really enjoyed Kaput every time I've been. I couldn't hear anything for days after the last one I went to.

hey, anders. here's my one point response. it's kind of like a one inch punch.

1. hey anders - fuck you!

MARK'S WEEKEND ITINERARY:

saturday: cca with dready revolutionaries - no anders. i stayed for like ten minutes and then hit the gft. did you go to any of it? i think i pretty much hate most forms of political activism. it's so feelgood.

sunday: ending up at twee as fuck. sexy kids were amazing. NO ANDERS.

[SADFACE]

badminton soon maybe. i'm so busy though. x.

Aw. I hate you too, Mark Schmark.

I was indeed at the CCA for lots of it, yeah, but my mobile died on me so I was unable to contact the rest of the world. But, you know, I got enough eventually and ended up watching football in a pub instead. I didn't realise we had a proper date. Sorry.

And on Sunday I was injured. BADLY. And you never mentioned you might be there. So that.

Toobusyforbadminton-mark = working-mark? Or are you just "too busy". --> :(

I played table tennis on my kitchen table last night. It's brilliant. Best thing in Glasgow.

i went to see her name is sabine, which you might have seen in the brochure. it was on in london in june but has only just worked its way up here, i think as part of a wider, if small, autism season. it was an interesting film. as a documentary, it was very much in that kind of french school of etre et avoir and stuff, where the aim is to depict the happenings of a place in a straightforward way, just by unobtrusively collating footage for a day-by-day vibe. it was a really moving thing to watch. you sort of realise that we're at such an interesting point of human history, from the mcluhan wiring of the world thing to the recent science and technology advances, whereby fifty years ago there was fuck all you could do about a lot of stuff, and in fifty years there might be everything you can do about stuff - the film was dealing with france's/everywhere's history of poor care and lack of diagnoses for autism, and the effect of the medicines involved on similar learning difficulties.

anyhow.
between summer dumbness and impecunity i haven't been to the pictures much, lately. there's some interesting things on in september; the guy who created, or writes, the wire introducing an episode of the wire, amongst other cinematic things.

that's cool, anders: you're still in my top three norwegians (i only know two norwegians). it was only a loose date. what did you think of the cca thing? i sort of think the point of those things has long shifted from 'making things better', so i felt silly and left. was the sixty eight versus oh-eight showdown any good?

i hadn't known about sexy kids playing; they were so great, though. i've been busy because i've been working. but maybe me and you badminton action SOON maybe. keep up the micro scale practice at home.

In other Glasgow talk, at what point while I was away did the Captain's Rest start getting all the good gigs? Last time I went was about 2003, to see a friend of a friend's band, who sounded like Ocean Colour Scene.

Keep up, Colin! The google group is where it all happens :op

You missed fun with WORMS! All the boys had a wee bottle of Mescal for 'pudding' (Steph and I had ladylike margaritas instead) - each bottle came complete with agave worm - euch. Two boys wimped out and didn't consume theirs - two ate two worms. It was horrible. I probably disturbed nearby diners squealing with disgust. I also accidentally threw Chris's worm across the table, causing mayhem.

Then we had fun adding to killie's famed diagram!

I should have thought Colin would be quite happy to miss fun with eating worms. I wondr if you can get vegan mezcal? I thought it was quite nice, apart from the worms… much more interesting than tequila anyway.

"interesting" is one word for it. "minging" is another. i was happy to stick with the girly, worm-free margarita.

I only had the tiniest micro-sip of that worm-infested ming, and could taste it every time I burped! Ugh! I wanted to be reminded of the delicious tostada!

I think we'll def go there for the pre-theatre deal before we go to the, um, theatre on Sat 13th. Fajitas are on the sample pre-theatre menu! They're like over a tenner on the normal menu! And free wine!

Anyone know a cheap photocopying place in Glasgow? No ribald suggestions such as 'your office' please. I'd rather not get sacked.

Not specifically (I suspect all the ones I used to go to have long since closed donw), but there must be tons of them up at the uni. If students still photocopy things rather than just take pictures of them on their phones, that is.
