Hello,

Yey - I'm going to Indietracks via Glasgow this year!
I'm only staying for one full day though (thursday 23 july, day before indietracks), so I could use some tips on how to best spend one day in Glasgow! Parks, cafés, sight-seeing, record-shops etc. - any tips?
(I've never been to Glasgow before, and ideally would´ve liked to stay for a bit longer, but I just happened to find this really cheap ticket for the specific date, and then there's Indietracks, so..)

I'm staying for two nights, any hostels or B&B's anyone would recommend?

Anyone else going to Indietracks from Glasgow on friday?

/ Annika

Bottle Rocket is on that night at Nice 'n' Sleazy. It was an indiepop night that used to be on regularly, but the guy who ran it moved back to New York and the first I heard it was going to be on again was when I saw this poster at the weekend. I'd definitely like to go if people are up for it.

Anything good on week after next? Will be in Stirling Monday to Friday so could be tempted through by some sort of quality live entertainment.

I believe there's an Exciting Gig on at Pinup Nights at The Flying Duck on Friday 26th, if that's any good to you? Featuring: ME.

are mark and chris allowed in the same room? won't there be a shift in the time space continuum being being as they're one another's doppelgangers... it'll be like that roger moore film ('the man who haunted himself')

I don't think I look like MJ Hibbett or Harry Potter. We were once in the same room (the Sam and Lisa wedding of the century) and there was only a slight rip in the space-time continuum (I meant Mark here - I don't think Harry Potter was at the wedding).

Anyway, I may well go. I will most likely be in Glasgow earlier anyway for my sister's graduation dinner so we'll have to see. I'd certainly like to.

good stuff!

stereo's venue bit has a capacity of about 300? maybe a bit less. it's a pretty basic room, rectangular and very minimally decorated (for this, read: a concrete bunker) with a big, high stage. good PA though.
it's a synergy gig so you can probably get tickets from their website or in person at monorail.
thanks deepfreeze... 300 only with good pa.... that will do me nicely...
