I haven't got anything to say; I just wanted to be the one who started the Sheffield thread. :)

I think Cara's got a gig on at the Green Room; I was thinking I'd go to that (mainly to see Town Bike). I may be persuaded to indulge in a little Offbeatery afterwards. Anyone else fancy coming to the popshow?

Has Cara started doing things at the green room now as well? She gets about a bit. Who else is playing? I may come along as well, though I'm missing offbeat cos I haven't been for ages and ages.

Oh arse. I meant the Red House. I have no idea why I said the Green Room. Duh!

I hadn't heard of any of the other bands when I saw the line-up (and I can't find out who they are now because nobody's got it on their stupid Myspace). I don't think they were particularly indiepop. But I thought I'd give it a go. Town Bike are ace!

I can't decide what to do now... I think I'll probably go to the Red House but I'd really like to go to offbeat too... Do you think I'll be able to get in after the gig has finished? I haven't been for ages and I don't know if it sells out anymore...

This is what Chris's mailout said:
Being the first weekend Offbeat of the season we'd recommend getting
down to the Raynor fairly promptly, but with various gigs and other
events on that night we might just have a few places left to at least
11pm'ish - you can always check the hotline ( 0795 260 4392 ) on the
night to be sure.
Hmmm.

Dobbie - how's the job going?

Hey! The new-look Red House is fantastic. They've cleaned it all up and made it quite cool and pretty but without it losing that downbeat cosiness. I approve!

So who's coming there for:
a) Butcher Boy + The Bobby McGees on Thursday; and
b) me next Saturday?

You can do both! See http://anorak.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=133#2593.

I didn't go to the Red House in the end cos I had to go to Offbeat for a band meeting. Was it good?

Do I need to book a ticket for t'Blow?
