hahaha. Moyes seems to have morphed very swiftly into a massive twunt, although it's funny watching him trot out the same old lines even with a bigger budget ("if we can't bring anyone in, i'm happy to go with what we've got")

i look forward to seeing van persie working the channels within 6 months ("it was great that robin scored nine against chelsea, but he needs to work on his all round game"), and indeed moyes eventually signing a player before essentially calling him shit straight away

sorry, sorry, it's my issue and i'll deal with it

Anyway, this got me all annoyed this morning. Is Moyes turned into Ferguson already or something? Balls out of bags? Doesn't he know it's a fixture computer and everyone has to play everyone else the same amount of times. Lest we forget that Man United have played no-one of any note (i.e. a team that finished in the top 4 or 5 the previous season) until September for two fucking decades now.

...and he's conveniently forgotten to complain about their easy run in.

Jose Mourinho is a box office, apparently.

Check out the video on the left. He's no Laurence Olivier.

God, I hate Alan Shearer.

Saints bought Italian international striker Pablo "Dani" Osvaldo from Roma for around £15m. Seems weird now to think that just over a year ago our record transfer fee paid was £4m for Rory Delap...

Ours was £750,000 for Ian Olney.

In 1992.

Crystal Palace

How will you do?
Honestly no clue depends what's what and how the new players gel.

Which teams did you like and dislike most last season?
I have more dislikes than likes, dislikes: Cardiff, for their turgid style of kick people rather than play football and Bolton and Brighton, for obvious reasons.

What was the best moment of last season?
I don't think I even need to say, Play Offs.

What was the worst moment of last season?
Losing 3-0 away to Brighton, and Zaha signing for Man Utd. Though last season was an amazing amazing time to be a Palace fan, the documentary is coming out soon, I'd recommend it, proper roller coaster ride...the only way Palace know how to do anything.

What is your club's great contribution to football history?
ermm, The Ghost Goal is definitely one (or two considering it happened twice) we've always been a there or there abouts team I guess.

Born and bred Manchester United fan. No longer contribute financially.

Walked away in 2005. Now FC United of Manchester (FCUM) founder member and matchday volunteer. Provide the vegetarian food for 'Course You Can Malcolm', the Manchester club night held in the afternoon, at Gigg Lane, whenever FC United play a Saturday home game, unless it is called off or is rearranged to Stalybridge.

Where are you up to on the new ground situation. Last I heard you'd got planning permission somewhere in Moston, right? Is that still happened? I ask as an Oldham fan, see. You'd be right on our doorstep and I could potentially see us being quite close rivals if we end up being relegated and you get another promotion or two. There's already an anti-United concensus amongst Oldham fans (although I'll bet FCUM fans don't give two hoots about Oldham right now).

One thing I miss is a real, proper rivalry. Tranmere are probably considered rivals but only because we've been in the same league for so long. We had some right spats with Blackburn during the 80's, Burnley during the 90's and Huddersfield Town before they went up the other season. When Rochdale got promoted I thought we might develop one then, as it's naturally the closest team to us.

I've got a few good mates who follow FCUM, although I don't think they've gone the whole hog like yourself and severed all ties with United. I suspect there are quite a large majority who support both teams though even though it's arguably hypocritical to do that given why they were set up in the first place. Would that be a fair comment?

Building work on the new ground in Moston is about to begin. Then stop again because of the winter. There's an anti-United consensus with most clubs, I'm sure there was one for Liverpool 20 years ago. (Two Hoots is Joey Holts award-winning lager-esque bitter).

As regards United, I've severed all financial ties but the emotional ties remain. It's nearly 40 years since my first game. I don't consider that all ties have been severed. They can't be. As for supporting both, football's a broad church, people can take the decision that they can't walk away from United for their own reasons - family, friends, convenience. It doesn't mean they can't support the ambitions of FC United or any other fan-owned club. FC United is a club that was set up by Manchester United fans and there will always be a connection. Supporters of other clubs have dipped in, stayed, left etc, but we are and always will be a club with United at heart.

Still finding it hard to comprehend that after 9 games Saints are 5th in the Prem, have only conceded 3 goals & are playing some outstanding football! :)
