Halfway there for Radio 6 - now if we can have Jupitus back for Sean Keaveny i could listen again or give Gideon Coe the morning slot

Me too. Although I am somewhat biased on this one...

Radcliffe and Maconie's show is pretty good. Simon Mayo's show on 5 Live is worth listening to during the day if you don't want music on. He usually has a really good variety of guests, especially the film reviews with Mark Kermode.

Adam and Joe on a Saturday morning is excellent (although I usually download the podcast) and the Music Week on 6 Music... lots of stuff.

Can you get this using a Reciva radio? I'd like to listen to it, but not through a computer, and the website doesn't seem to mention any other ways to listen.

I think wifi radio's should play most things in real audio, windows media, or mp3 radio formats. The chip in mine has a web portal, where you can either look at their list of catalogud stations, or add your own URLs for streams (including Listen Again) or podcasts.

That's a point, actually - I could look at the manual for mine to see if I can do that.

Usually listen to Gideon Coe late at night on radio 6 - although he has been playing too much reggae for my liking of late, and some of his sessions aren't really of interest - but there is usually some good stuff played at some point.

I did give XFM a decent listen when Allo Darlin' were on - but did not like the stuff that they were playing at all.

I prefer actually listening to my lovely PURE DAB radio rather than listening online, although sometimes hook up my pc to speakers, which is fine too.

I had the displeasure of hearing a radio show on Radio 2 yesterday hosted by David Fucking Tennant and Catherine Bastard Tate. I mean, I knew these two awful cunts were incredibly pleased with themselves, but they spent the first ten minutes talking about how often they're on telly over Christmas this year. And laughing like shitty drains at each other. I didn't think it was possible for me to hate these two STUNNINGLY AVERAGE pricks more, but I do now.

Excuse my French.

David Tennant's got a good quiff though. You have to at least give him that.

I'm suprised no-one's mentioned Marc Riley's show on Radio 6. An absoluletly live session every Monday to Thursday, with loads of bands who would interest this list, together with old Peel sessions and new music. What's not to like?!

Have been catching up on some of the Gideon Coe shows using bbc iplayer, and in the build-up to New Year's eve, he had 3 shows concentrating on music around in 1979, 1989, 1999.

Have already enjoyed checking out the 1979, and currently enjoying the 1989 one - well worth a listen, if you have the time/ inclination..

It is not just old stuff, either - in the show about 1979, he played Erratic Fiction by Shrag, which sounded very nice!

The 1979 one is only available for a couple of more days, 1989 for 3 more days, 1999 4 more days btw - link here:

Yes, Dandelion Radio is on the Reciva database of Internet stations - and many others. We've now added information about other ways to listen to Dandelion Radio (hardware Internet radios, mobile phone Internet radio applications, etc.) at http://www.dandelionradio.com/about.

Hope this helps!

I'm surprised he's even noticed.
"If they can't be bothered, why should I bother?"
That's the best thing he's ever said.

Didn't Peel say he was a "DLT in waiting" or something?

D'you know what? Obscene as his salary may be, and tactless and unprofessional as it is to rant about it on air, I can kind of see his point.

Doesn't make me any more likely to actually listen to the talentless oaf though.

I'd feel a whole lot sorrier for him if he hadn't crossed a picket line when BBC staff were on strike a few years back.

So do I. The modern-day king of the malapropisms. And co-produced by the same Mr Radcliffe you also mentioned!

Five Live is my main choice of station, especially Drive and Five Live Sport. Fighting Talk's good too though. Oh and I always feel like I should listen to more of the comedy on BBC 7, but never quite seem to get round to it.

Throw in a regret for not listening to more Dandelion Radio for precisely the same reason, and that diet's not dissimilar to mine at all! Seem to be listening to more Radio 4 with every passing month, too. It comes to us all, I suppose, it comes to us all.... Still draw the line at The Archers, though.
