I was just feeding Ted whilst Big Barn Farm was on, and realised Dave Lamb narrates it. I can't take him seriously. I keep thinking he's being sarcastic.

Barrymore is insane.

And so is his tasteless neo-Regency house.

I think my little sister was disappointed to not see Jenny Powell's body floating in Barrymore's pool at the end.

FASHION ENTREPRENEUR HAS DESIGNS ON USA

Nottingham Trent University alumnus and fashion designer, Simeon Hartwig, is heading to the USA to represent the city’s creative industries and develop his street-clothing business, Bantum Clothing, after being awarded a Nottinghamshire Roosevelt Travelling Scholarship.

The Scholarship provides funding for Simeon to travel across America for up to four months, giving him the chance to experience the US-lifestyle and identify opportunities to forge links and grow his business.

Simeon found out about the scheme through Nottingham Trent University’s enterprise unit, The Hive, from where he has run Bantum since he graduated from a Design Studies degree in 2003. Simeon said: “I’m greatly inspired by hip hop, and UK street culture is inspired by American culture, so my attraction to the award was instant.

“Foremost, for Bantum, I’m setting up meetings with key fashion buyers in the US and by the time my trip is over I aim to have a significant US stockist list. I also have some links with people who run fashion labels over there so we’re planning to do a small scale show in New York to promote Bantum.

“Part of the fun of Bantum is getting people involved and we’ve done a number of t-shirt making workshops in youth centres in Nottingham and Wales. During my trip I’m hoping to hold similar events in places like Compton in California, which has a very diverse population. I’ll also be looking to promote the other Nottingham designers, illustrators and musicians that I work with.”

Chris Hall, business manager at The Hive, said: “Simeon will be a fantastic ambassador for Nottingham. He is a very talented and inspirational entrepreneur and will relish the opportunity to develop his business and promote the city’s creative industries.”

Chairman of the scholarship scheme, Lord Lieutenant Sir Andrew Buchanan, said: “Simeon will be learning a lot about his capabilities during his time away, mixing with different people and organising and executing what is often a daunting itinerary. He is a very deserving recipient of this Scholarship and we wish him well on his travels.”

Debbie McGee's oven (not a euphemism) is filthy.

Tracy from Stoke is one of the worst people I've ever seen on telly. Everything she says and does makes me very angry.

Come Dine with Me Athletics special
Four Olympians compete to win the £1,000 prize for their chosen charities, beginning with former world champion javelin thrower Fatima Whitbread, who prepares a light and healthy meal. Ex-5,000m world record-holder Zola Budd cooks family-inspired recipes, former high-jumper Dalton Grant hosts a Caribbean-themed night and Olympic 400m hurdles bronze medallist Kriss Akabusi whips his guests into shape with help from a military drill instructor.
What can possibly go wrong?
There ain't no-one gonna turn me round

Is anyone watching this week's on Channel 4? Its been the best I've seen for ages. There's an insufferable Tory, royal-loving moron who turned up in a suit to a "90s rave" themed night and has been rude and patronising to his fellow contestants. They responded by turning up to his "black tie" dinner in their own clothes (one arriving in her pyjamas), rifling through his belongings to find he had made a fake invite to the royal wedding addressed to himself and giving him the lowest score of the week so far.

There's a bit of a corker in the making this week. Based in Blackpool, the first host this week had a home full of photos of herself and no one else, opened her dinner party by asking her guests whether they found her attractive, constantly fished for compliments, refused to eat her own food and wondered why people were offended by this, had a "back to school" theme to her party and claimed that one of her guests not having a nick name at school meant she had no personality (because everyone remains exactly as they were at school into their adult life obviously) and to round things off she performed a toe-curlingly bad song and dance number. And this was only night 1.

She was one of the most hideous people I have ever clasped eyes on and had to listen too during all the years I have watched Come Dine With me. The fact she hated them all before the final course spoke volumes. I hope "Septic peg" gives her her cards before the week is out!

They were all too nice in their scoring too, maybe as it was the first night they were being overly-polite.
