Yeah from everything I have read, it seemed crap. Especially that reality hosts thing.

It was embarrassing. I actually had to turn the channel from sheer discomfort at more than one point. Ricky Gervais was the only funny part of the night.

It's a load of mediocre celebrities in silver lycra and they have to make shapes to get through a hole in a polystyrene moving wall. If they don't make it through the hole, they fall in some water. It's presented by Dale Winton, who looked like he'd rather be back on previous all-time career low Touch the Truck.
Hole In The Wall is the BEST SHOW IN THE WORLD, rivaling Takeshi's Castle, when it comes to these things. Honestly, I would YouTube the Japanese original soooo much back in the day, it is amazing.

It has just started in Sweden and I am LOVING IT. It's so much funnier when you KNOW who all these celebs are, bahaha, it makes it even more undignified.

Physical comedy = forever the best. That's why, if you just allow yourself to enjoy it, America's Funniest Home Videos will have you howling with laughter when someone falls over in an undignified way. Although if it is properly on purpose, like say clowns, it is not funny anymore. Not for me at least.
After another bewildered, 'I-should-hate-this-but' recommendation on 6music, I watched this. It was the compelling kind of nuts. Aside from only knowing Andy Peters and that dancing man who looks like Rob Brydon (and yeah, I've heard of mr cricket) it's amusing to see anyone in lycra get knocked into a pool (by the head). That biker man should have given anton a punching, though.

It is just the basic idea that is so funny that adding random people to it is fine, as it doesn't really matter who it is. It's just awesome, repeat-filled FUN.

I watched Hole In The Wall, just on the basis of a Charlie Brooker rant, and it was unbelievable! And highly addictive! From the pointless lycra and desperate choice of celebrities to the "wall" itself, which fell to pieces after cracking on some poor celebrity's head. I honestly though someone's going to get hurt. I intended to watch five minutes on iPlayer and ended up watching the whole thing. I felt guilty watching it, but it was quite funny...

Yeah, I thought it was Rob Brydon for a minute...

Bear Grylls is a dirty, dirty boy. And much shitter than Ray "4 Real" Mears.

But wasn't there stories about he's mega fake too floating around maybe 6 months ago? Like, he actually doesn't catch fish with his hands or whatever crap he claims to do.

I would trust Ray Mears with my life. As long as he didn't try to make me eat raw moss or anything.

Edit: or guinea pig poo.

I just saw Yves Rossy, or "Fusionman", fly across the channel on a home-made jet thingy. It was pretty awesome, as is Fusionman.

Charlie Brooker's new TV show. It looks like it'll be a hoot. My housemate was a zombie in it. Cor!

Nice. I wonder if it's easier for Charlie to get commissions being on the board of zeppotron and all (must make it easier to get the big brother branding, as they're owned by endemol).

p.s. Kevin Eldon and Davina McCall together at last!

Mid-October, I think. It's out on DVD in November, so can't be too long to wait.

Pro: my ideal birthday present
Con: it won't be on UKNova

Heroes is on in half an hour and I am giddy. Maybe I do need to move somewhere with a telly after all.

Is it just me, or are the concepts of safety and risk assessment notably missing in Harry Potter.
And by me, I mean, Flexo.

Two things:

Is anyone else hooked on 'The Family' on Channel 4? I absolutely love it.

Also, that fucking Budweiser advert plumbs new depths. And that's saying something for Budweiser adverts.
