Re: Your Indietracks 2015 Wishlist

^ I should point out that Joey Chickenskin and Meatyard are the same thing, at least in this context. So that should count as two.

Or three, because I'm voting for him/them too.

Notts, 7 Feb - Pete Green, Joey Chickenskin...

Hi! On Saturday afternoon we're hosting the third Nottingham Totally Acoustic in the bar at The Chameleon, and recording a podcast simultaneously. This month: we're excited to welcome back Sheffield's poet laureate, the one and only PETE GREEN, as well as local legend JOEY CHICKENSKIN (playing the a...

Re: August Actually

The printers have promised me that the physical albums will be available for Laura to collect tomorrow (Friday) morning, so to celebrate I've put one of those ESSENTIAL pre-order links up that everybody loves: https://housevshomerecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-forever-war I'll be sending these out on...

Re: August Actually

Thanks, Tonieee! It seems especially pertinent today when loads of people seem to have had snow but Nottingham hasn't (though I keep seeing cars covered in it...).

Re: August Actually

Hello! We've been quiet for a very long time so we've decided to get really loud all of a sudden, then go quiet again for another very long time. We're doing our first gig in AGES on Saturday 31st January, in Nottingham (duh) at Spanky's. It is to celebrate the long-awaited (by us) release of our al...

Re: Nottingham

It's a good idea to try and sync calendars on these things... I'm hosting 4 (and won't be organising any more for this year) before then, though I am playing a couple more: 19th October - The Wave Pictures, Schwervon! and Simon Love (at Spanky's)* 8th November - Totally Acoustic #1 with MJ Hibbett, ...

Hallie & the Annies, (some members of) T-Shirt Weather, and the fat bloke out of August Actually.

(I made the same joke in the Sheffield thread but am hoping nobody else reads both and calls me out on this)

This was both the drunkest and best solo gig I've done so far.

This week is a good one for gigs in Nottingham... At least at JT Soar. Middle Ones et al tomorrow, Chris Clavin and David Leach on Wednesday.

Re: 2015, then...

I don't know how bad form it is to request bands that I'm actually in, but next year I'd really really like to be allowed to play. Preferably in as many forms as possible... So, if it's a faux pas to vote for yourself, consider these more a 'throwing my hat in the ring' than actual votes: August Act...

Likewise, I am sorry for my SWIFT DEPARTURE at the end of Mark's set; I made it to the bus stop and subsequent train station with plenty of time, especially as the train itself was delayed by five minutes. Whoops.

Re: Fever Dream + Cosines + Poirot's Boys, Nttm, 15th May

I can confirm that the first Poirot's Boys single has been finished and will be available to purchase for money at this gig.

If we had a press agent they'd bill it as the 'single launch'. But we don't have a press agent.

It's probably where all the cool kids are hanging out, to be fair.
It's incredibly close to my house. As in, CONVENIENTLY close to my house.
