They've called it a day. Let's just be glad we ever had them.

Re: Share indie pop videos here...

Helped Bodyheat make this silly video because they're my friends and/or wife. For fans of jangly pop, BMX Bandit psychiatrists and ex members of Dananananakroyd doing slow claps. The pedigree!
Talking of pedigree there's a cute wee dog in it too.

Re: Grimes

I liked something on the radio the other day which I think was one of hers. That's the end of my indispensible contribution to the thread. Better than it dying on it's arse altogether after two posts, which seemed to be the direction of travel before now. I'm all for bland comments of vague approva...

Re: TV Quick: talk about things on telly succinctly

Got to the end of Fleabag and it really does pay off. Some of the best scenes in the series also surprisingly ended up featuring Hugh Dennis. If you want to watch a sitsom that really does solely consist of horrible people doing horrible things then you could watch Our Ex-Wife with Robert Webb and p...

Re: TV Quick: talk about things on telly succinctly

I wasn't quite sure what to make of it at first. Seemed like one of those programmes that consist of nothing but horribly unsympathetic characters but I soon found there was a bit more going on than that. Interested to watch a few more episodes.

Re: Indietracks 2016 photos and memories

I'll hopefully come back and do a proper post later but I think hearing Drake in between some Kenickie or The Fall or Grimes or whatever while surrounded by all your friends is totally different to walking into Top Shop and hearing it. Context, innit.
All for it myself.

Looks like it might rain tonight now so have the brolly. Are you in the Alfreton Premier Inn again this year?

Re: Clothing considerations

When I left the house this morning there was a 10 per cent chance of rain, said the met office, so I packed accordingly. Now there is a 50 per cent chance of rain on Saturday afternoon, I have no wellies, and I sort of feel like I tempted fate. Sorry everyone. Obviously it's not all about me, but t...

Re: And eeeeeeeeeeeee! some more

Today I had emails reminding me to print off my tickets and to check-in to the Premier Inn so I guess we're getting close! Oh yeah, and I saw Expert Alterations and The Spook School both be utterly incredible last night.

Let's do this!

Checked this morning and the Chorusgirl t-shirt I bought in February is still too tight so there's decisions to be made yet!

Re: Belle and Sebastian

They were so good in Glasgow last night. Best I've seen them in years. I suppose the fact they're preparing to do Tigermilk & Sinister means it was full of old stuff but seeing them in a great wee venue helped as well. Mary Jo, Me and the Major, Le Pastie, Mayfly, Fox in the Snow, Dog on Wheels. The...

Re: Using Bandcamp

Bandcamp vs Soundcloud - any thoughts, musicianists? I really love Bandcamp now, as both an artist and a fan. But it's very structured around particular releases, isn't it - I mean everything has to be part of an album, type thing. I sort of wonder if Soundcloud is better for single tracks and demo...

Re: general reading and book related things

I'm quite excited about Kevin MacNeil's new book, The Brilliant & Forever. It sounds slightly insane. Who needs drugs? On an island like no other, the annual Brilliant & Forever festival is a much anticipated event; its participants a story away from either glory or infamy. This year, three best fr...
