Re: Sheffield

Does anybody know of any good, reliable, reasonable builder types in Sheffield? I'm gonna get my bathroom sorted this year and I'll need to gut the whole room and start from scratch - so there'll be electrical stuff that needs doing, a new ceiling putting in, sorting the floorboards, taking the old ...

Re: Pretty stuff for the house

I'm looking at getting a new bathroom. It's got my girlfriend frothing at the mouth. More than 3 hours was spent yesterday going through B&Q catalogues... I just want a pleasant room to shit/shave/shower, why is it so complicated...?

I have a Cyberman question. Is it no longer the case that only Cyber-weapons can harm Cybermen? I'm sure it used to be the way of things, but then Rory went and killed one with a sword...

Re: The Avengers : Marvel Movie Franchise

I reckon the only truly great Superhero film was the first Spider-man film (the recent one I mean, not the Nicholas Hammond one) because they took the origin story (which is the BEST origin story in all of comics ) and did it properly, EXACTLY like the comic. But for most superheroes the origin is ...

Re: The Avengers : Marvel Movie Franchise

I think the big struggle with films based on Marvel characters is that the golden age of marvel story telling better suits a long running TV series format rather than a two hour film. I think that's the problem with all comicbook movies. The medium itself is set up for longform, episodic storytelli...

Re: Doctor Who

I love reading the 'thoughts on Dr Who' articles that they run on the Bleeding Cool website... This is how you send a message. Transmit a signal to a psychic painter to bury it in a wall where it will be seen by a future Prime Minister who will then use a phone to three thousand years in the future ...

Particularly since they looked at it. I know they were 'looking' through the wall towards the other characters but it still seemed a bit like they looked directly at the weird portrait.

Re: Sheffield

I've heard that they do. But it may also be worth asking the Real Time Music* guys for a quote. I took them my guitar to have a Bigsby fitted and they took it down to Chesterfield (where their luthier is based) and brought it back and it still cost about half what other places were quoting me and th...

Fully agree, that was GRATE: especially when Mike From The Young Ones said "WE are saving the universe from YOU!" That was AMAAAZING! Thank you! Christ, that was driving me up the wall! Why not put baconnaise on bacon? Or would that be like crossing the streams?
