Re: Running

I'm getting faster! Not as fast as you, though! But I was pretty slow before. I didn't start getting faster until I added hill repeats to my runs. Those really work you out. Before I would just run leisurely and add mileage, but now I'm "training" and that made a difference. I just finished another ...

Re: Math and Physics Club

Yes, the band is currently in the studio working on vocals for about a dozen new tracks. The tentative plan is an album release in May but I can't confirm that until I have a master in hand... I've heard a few demo tracks though and they are amazing! May! that's in time for all the Popfests! They s...

oh good! I'm going to try my best to get to the Brooklyn show. Sadly the New York one conflicts with The Magnetic Fields... If only the Brooklyn and New York dates could be switched!!

Re: having a weird name and booking a ticket

my canadian friends have just named their new baby Zöe. I don't know why they wanted to use the ö. It's not very Canadian. And now the poor girl is going to have to wait in the slow line for the rest of her life!

Re: Exercise/Sports clothing

I probably won't ever spend that much again. heh. I lied! well, not that $ amount, but I've been spending more on exercise clothes, in general. Mostly because a couple of times I've had to cut a run short because my flabbly arms were chaffing. And it's a pain layering so much when you can spend the...

Re: Bands you can't believe you waited so long to listen to

math and physics club! a coworker of mine had copied their full length cd for me awhile back. I think because she was looking for company to their show. I just kind of shelved it. Then one day I was running with my iPod on shuffle and one of theirs came on and I made a mental note to go back to chec...

Good Luck!

I just want to consistently run 10 for miles and miles and miles. Should be doable but I'm so lazy.

Re: Running

I read the other day in my running magazine that:

1 lb of body fat slows you approx. 2.5 sec/mile

I have an unrealistic body image as is, but after ready that I became more obsessed. But it stressed me out and so yesterday I ate 12 cookies and too much pizza. And beer.

why are cookies so good?!

Re: Running

I signed up for a hilly race the other day, too!

I've never done hill training, but the other day I ran up / walked down this hill in the park about 10 times and nearly died! But I think it helped because my next run was really fast.

or maybe I'm just imagining things.

Re: The Ballet

yeah! I think my favourite is Chinatown. I can't not dance to it. It's weird because some of the songs sound so familiar as they used to be up on their myspace for a long time. I think they must've taken them down when they started getting ready to make the album. But at the same time brand new beca...
