Re: what book are you reading?

I'm currently racing through Written on the Body by Jeanette Winterson and enjoying it very much. I'm also reading Cinema 1 by Gilles Deleuze but that's going to take me a lot longer to get through.

Re: what book are you reading?

I've not read anything by Ayn Rand so I'm can't compare it, sorry. I have just looked about the internet to get a general sense of what she's about and I wouldn't describe We as being anywhere near as right-wing as Rand. Phew! Is it worth a read, then? ... Yes, I'd say it's worth a read. I quite li...

Re: what book are you reading?

Oooh. I read that a few years ago. It's a bit Ayn Randish, isn't it? is it as right-wing as Ayn Rand? I've not read anything by Ayn Rand so I'm can't compare it, sorry. Re: what book are you reading?

I've just been reading We by Yevgeny Zamyatin. I just need to let it all sink in now before I really know what to make of it.

Re: General Chat About Films And That

Yes, TR2N. From what I can gather it does look to be a sequel.

Here's some links:

An early, wobbly, trailer:

Re: General Chat About Films And That

I watched Tron on BBC2 earlier. I don't know why but I always find it quite pleasing. I then found out that a sequel is in production at the moment.

Re: Which radio shows do you listen to?

I really enjoy Count Arthur Strong's Radio Show. It's a comedy show and the first series is currently being repeated on BBC Radio 7. I think it's rather amusing. I rarely listen to music on the radio but I find Radcliffe and Maconie on Radio 2 are alright.

I don't like these "artists" but like these songs - it doesn't keep me awake at night, much.

Re: what book are you reading?

Modern Architecture Since 1900 by William J R Curtis. It's full of detail but not too difficult to understand. I'm also re-reading The Rachel Papers by Martin Amis.
