Re: I-Tunes help

I found this thread fascinating (I'm the only person in the office and I'm bored). I was presented a nanopod about 6 months ago and have only done so much as change the time on it and play solitaire. 1 month ago I got around to borrowing an itunes software disc (I don't have t'internet) and I'm sure...

Re: Glasvegas - HELP???

I've met James a couple of times and he's a very decent sort of chap. Saw them support the charlatans - was it only last year? and was surprised to hear thm on the radio as I ccouldn't remember them sounding like that. On basis of music alone I can't help enjoy them for the entertainent value of sin...

Re: Baking (cakes and stuff)

Brits call 'em fairy cakes, americans call 'em cup cakes?

I used to adore butterfly cakes but last made them when I was but a totie child. Anyone else remember having made these? I think the secret to their yumminess is the butter cream filling.

Re: Baking (cakes and stuff)

I made fairycakes last night - I wanted them to be cupcakes but the icing didn't set properly because my kitchen was so hot. So they're more of the fairycake variety. They look a bit serious with all that dark chocolate but they taste nice. Wow, they look beautiful. You could use them to decorate a...

Re: Re:

I just watche the entire 10th Kingdom series in one sitting and yes a tear was shed. Only one mind. Wasn't it great? It's like a tv version of the comic series Fables. When did you cry? Near the end when Virginia finds out it's her mother and she starts yelling and crying? That's when I got watery....

Re: Skins!

My friend lent me the two series box set and I began it last night. Six episodes so far in one sitting. I remember when it first came out and I was like fuck watching a series full of young hipster types with their fun and drugs and sex and stuff but I'm rather enjoying it.

Shocked into stunned silence the other night when Sir Alan voted for call centres to be put in room 101. Apparently any time you call it's answered by either a scottish or asian voice.

Is it usual to find several hairs attached to a pork scratching? I feel the need to send it back to the customer service address with a letter of complaint but I'm scared they'll send me another packet.

Re: what is the CHEESIEST song you really love

I had, like, 3 hours sleep (I am too old for this rock n' roll life style now!) and I feel like I've been hit by a truck. Driving into work everything seemed too bright, too loud, too hot, and mean. Boston drivers are surly at the best of times, but this morning every one was a great big meany assh...

Re: Effing Toast!

I'm with you onthe lightly toasting but aginast you with the margarining. Margarine is for baking only and has no place in this thread. And as for burnt toast, my dislike for it nears the level of phobia. Butter the lightly toasted bread. Allow to melt. Butter again on now to get a uniform thick spr...

Re: Effing Toast!

When I moved into a cheapo bedsit in St Helier I subsisted on packets of mini melba toast that you could buy from the pound shop andnot-dairylea soft cheese wedges. I used to sit on the floor in the half-light of the plug-in heater (glorified light bulb really) and spread god-knows-what-it-was-made-...

Re: Effing Toast!

i like my toast like my women, burnt and mentally unstable. i remember once when i lived in a student house with no toaster and we had to do all our toast in the grill. the toast would have differing levels of toastyness on each side. have you ever heard such a sad story? I never even seen a toaste...
