Re: Best Friends Forever/The Middle Ones/Z+ 05/08 in Birming

I know, the Vic's getting increasingly lairy. It's really sad, the same thing happened to the Sunflower Lounge just before everyone started putting things on at The Vic and Island. I'm sorry if they ruined anyone's evening.

Thank you everyone for coming though! It was amazing to see a decent turnout!

I went to Nottingham for a work meeting once, but I don't really think that that counts as "playing Nottingham" - so yes, it's our first time! Yay.

Re: The Tiddlywhips

New Tiddlywhips EP. It's been a while as one was snowed off and never happened This one is called Seasons and is free to download. It's for fans of bedroom pop who are hankering after simpler times that probably never were. http://f.bandcamp.com/z/38/34/3834343363-1.jpg Tiddlywhips completists can a...

There's this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Privilege_%28film%29

Has anyone seen it? It could be awful or it could be an ahead of it's time cult classic that would have been massive if it was set somewhere trendy.

EDIT - oh a pub with a film connection rather than just a Birmingham film.

Have I mentioned on here yet that the most northern perma...

Hello! Where do Anorak music types get their songs mastered? Do you go to a professional or do you do it at home? Do you go into a studio or send them over the internet? What is the going rate? What should we be looking out for? I'd be grateful if you could give us some recommendations. Thankyou! O...

I was reading about North Cape in Norway today which is often considered to be the most northernly part of mainland Europe but is actually on an island called Magerøya . Anyway, imagine my delight as I was 'driving' away from the cape earlier and got caught in a sudden snowstorm http://maps.google.c...

I wrote a song ON MY PHONE yesterday. While watching the football, no less! It's just a little bleepy short electronic thing , but still! It was fun. I'm going to do more, in lunchbreaks and possibly when I go to the toilet. Ooh, what software did you use? I downloaded 8Bitone and I can make some b...

Re: Nottingham indietracks warm-up gig, 28/07

Aw Craps, I was hoping we'd have a Heat-style preview. dagnabbit. Read between the lines Ray. 'UNDER STRICT ORDERS' is an anagram of 'Crude dirt snorters'. Snorting is a sound, or, if you like, something that is 'sonic'. Crudely, if you plow some dirt, you make a flower groove. Put it all together ...
