Re: General Chat About Films And That

Just saw The Mist, a Frank Darabont adaptation of the Stephen King novella. Pretty cool. At least as far as SK stories turned into movies go. The ending was perfect. I'm glad they didn't mess the original story too much.

Re: Guitars

I had a G & L tele that I deeply regret selling (as with 99% of the guitars I ever sold).

It was one of these:

I should get another one in the future. Congratulations on your purchase!

Re: Amps: the bit the music comes out of

I could do with some advice about amps when used with microphones if anyone knows about such things. As you can see, above and elsewhere, Astrid today has bought all manner of things including a lovely new guitar, a suitable amp for said guitar, and a new microphone. However she has no amp for the ...

I went through all their records recently, and I now think God Save... is just as good if not better than Suburban Light. But the others disappointed me.

In America, about $800. Can't tell you which places are good because I haven't gone past the research stage.

I don't have the cash to lose...if I've got money to lose in the future, I'd definately start a label, but right now, it's impossible... BUT...I am currently putting together a compilation as part of Love Music Hate Racism South Wales I've got about half the donated MP3's so far...and a fellow memb...

David Bowie - Station to Station

I'm also listening to The Clientele's God Save the Clientele. It's the first release of theirs that I've really enjoyed since Suburban Light.

I just don't get the Brilliant Corners at all. Ah well, my loss, I suppose... People used to say THE BRILLIANT CORNERS were a JUNE BRIDES rip-off early on. They sound more like the Go-Betweens to me at times. Maybe because of the vocals. They had some cracking tunes, though. Most of the songs I don...
