Re: Belle and Sebastian

Re: 2017! What a year

Special mention for the hilarious boy in the Conservative Party T-shirt on Saturday, who presumably loses his bet after nobody could be bothered to give him a slap. Yes, what was that all about? Was it just a straight up Tory Party t-shirt - I only saw him briefly, but I assumed it was something ir...

Taxi share from Derby station, anyone?

As my usual taxi friends have disgracefully defected from Team Golden Valley to the Travelodge, does anyone else fancy sharing one (or have a spare space in one)? My train arrives in Derby at 13:23.

It's the Just Joans. Exciting announcement though, and some great band names in the ones I don't know.

Re: 23-26 March, London - Fortuna POP! - Twenty Years Of Trouble

Does anybody know anywhere that does decent vegan food near the Islington Assembly Hall? It depends how near is near, but there's the Indian Veg buffet not very far away. I've not been myself yet for some reason, but it's been highly recommended to me by people. I'd have thought at least some of th...

Sheesh. That's not going to keep me in gig tickets through my 70s. I'll just have to keep and treasure it for ever after all.

100 up for sale. I've just bought 15 and will be putting them up on Discogs/ ebay for 10 times the amount I paid for them. Ker-ching!
Is there really a market for r@re AD stuff? Is the Henry Rollins 7" going to be my pension?

Not particularly indiepop (although Martha and Tigercats were both there) but a take on this from the Telegraph.

Re: Your Indietracks 2017 Wishlist

With due regard to what the gentlemen above have said (trouble is, I'm old and lazy and don't get out so much these days, so I don't pick up as many new bands as in the past to suggest): Ballboy The Smittens Allo Darlin Martha MJ HIbbert and the Validators The School The Wave Pictures Tigercats The ...

Re: Indietracks 2016 photos and memories

In the opinion of this punter, Team Indietracks pulled it off yet again. I'm actually with some of the others on here in that I wasn't that hugely overwhelmed by a lot of the music, but a) none of it was bad, just more sit and enjoy rather than go wild over b) you can't please all the people all the...

Hello!

I'm making a flying visit to Amsterdam in June (9th-12th). Can anyone suggest any Anorak-friendly gigs that might be happening then, or even just which venues it might be good to keep an eye on?

Transport in from Derby/Nottingham

A friend has raised the prospect of not camping (shock!) this year, but obviously it's now far too late for the Travelodge/Premier Inn. I know in the past people have arranged daily minibuses in from Nottingham (or possibly Derby?) - does anyone know if this is happening this year? Or if not, whethe...

Any system with a terminus called Halfway has to be good.

Anyway, this looks like fun for people in the area.

The new album's out! And it's fantastic. I was personally a little disappointed by the second album, but this one's a cracker - nice and upbeat pretty much throughout. The opening track, Every Day, might be my favourite but it's all pretty good.

Re: Two White Cranes

I was lucky enough to see the set in the merch tent at indietracks and buy the CD afterwards. Definitely one of my highlights and I look forward to seeing her again somewhere there aren't quite so many distractions! I was unlucky enough not to - I finally plucked up the courage to come out from my ...
