On Sunday, they'll be playing at Bruar Falls with Frankie Rose and German Measles. ohmyrockness.com has other ...

Re: Pop Punk! Punk Rock!

Cult Ritual is great! I got to see them over the summer. They're a very intense live band. Supposedly they're broken up already. I suggest checking out Merchandise, which features a member or two from Cult Ritual. It's more along the lines of melancholic indie rock.

Re: anorak loves new york

i love hanging out in nyc. it helps that i have access to five affordable chinatown bus routes of varying quality for an six hour overnight trip. i'd love to move there but i definitely can't afford it at the moment.

Re: Built To Spill

i like them but i don't own anything by them. i had an ex-girlfriend who was a huge fan so that was the peak of my built to spill listening days. one of my favorite songs is "the plan."

Re: Pop Punk! Punk Rock!

H2O is sick. we're talking about the NYHC band, right? i was a huge fan of them and their "comeback" record from last year was a great return to form. off topic, i realize there was a link to cupid car mp3s on a blog but i was wondering if this board frowns upon uploads of stuff that may or may not...

Re: Camera Obscura

i'm seeing them next month and i'm really excited. my fanboy-ish nature cannot contain itself. with that said, i'm hoping to get a pic taken with the band. haha, is that corny?

do any of you listen to Sicko? i've been spinning them lately. one of the underrated pop punk bands of the mid-1990s.

Re: Big Star

if there is a band that rightfully deserves the label of "criminally underrated," it's big star. "the ballad of el goodo" is an amazing track. they remind me of lazy sunday mornings and i like that.

has anyone listened to chris bell - i am the cosmos?

Re: Emo

my old name on here was a nod to an old emo band("losslikeaseed" is from a one last wish song). i love the old mid-1980s revolution summer bands, be it rites of spring, embrace, one last wish, etc. there's also a lot of good bands that co-existed with that era that were from other parts of the unite...
