For those still loyal to the Travelodge, the rooms there become available on September 3.

Re: Indietracks 2012 - the press reviews

I would be more concerned about Tigercats sounding like Vampire Weekend?! what?! They do. We put on Tigercats at the end of June and the local press reviewer described them in the paper as "think an English Vampire Weekend". Didn't quite see it myself but then I don't really listen to Vampire Weeke...

Tigercats - Rochester, 29/6

Hello folks, For the handful of Kentish based indiepoppers, we (TEA) are bringing the mighty Tigercats to the Deaf Cat coffee shop and art gallery on June 29. There will be a couple of other bands, some nice beers and if it all comes off properly, some lovely homemade food too! And it'll only cost y...

Agreed in principle, though my attempt to sign up at the new one failed miserably. No idea why.

Re: A co-operative venue in London (or elsewhere)?

Holy shit people. I hang out with a friend for the evening, come back and find three pages on this? Wonderful. First things first: Also, I will pledge a minimum of £2,000 right now. I'm not fucking joking. I know that's pennies when it comes to it, but there we have it. This. Absolutely. I'd happily...

Re: A thread about putting on DIY gigs

We should all club together and buy our own. Running it as a co-operative or something. This may well have been a throwaway comment, but it's something we've considered in the broadest of terms down this way. It would be a little way off in the future thing rather than anything short term though. I...

Colour Me Wed + 3 more @ The Miller, London, Friday 11 May

colourmewednesdaymedium.jpg TICKETS: http://www.wegottickets.com/event/157153 Colour Me Wednesday are the latest darlings of the indiepop scene after bursting in last year with their suddenly timely release ‘Purge Your Inner Tory’. They mix jangle pop, ska and punk into something very exciting. Glo...

That's our gig! Was just coming here to advertise that - nice when someone else already takes care of it!

But yeah, everyone should come along on Friday. It's going to be awesome!

Ironically I'm in exactly the same position this year. I just don't expect the wedding reception to be ace.

Shame it was a bit quiet Trev, but glad all three went over well.

Will definitely be at the Wendy Darlings one - would like to see Omi Palone again too but have a sneaking suspicion that might clash with something.

Re: Moustache of Insanity (last ever gig) // Rochester, Marc

I think everyone went down to the Thai place instead! A few random highlights: - Bill (I think) completely destroying our very, very expensive TEA sign. - The rendition of Cactus to the complete befuddlement to some random people who wandered down to see what was happening at just the right moment. ...

Well that was so much fun.

Thanks to everyone that came, especially those who went to the effort of traveling for it. Honestly the most fun gig we've ever put on.

Re: Moustache of Insanity (last ever gig) // Rochester, Marc

This is tomorrow people! Word on the street is that a fair few people will be travelling. If you are planning to, I strongly suggest you buy a ticket in advance. The venue is tiny, it seems fairly likely that it will sell out and I really don't want to turn people away who have travelled down for it...

Re: Moustache of Insanity (last ever gig) // Rochester, Marc

Being the final show and all, I suppose we should make a little bit of an effort....so, if there are any requests for particular songs, do shout out now to give us a little bit of time. I suppose Uno would be pushing it? Otherwise "the hits" and My Favourite Memory would be lovely. Also...is the fo...

Moustache of Insanity (last ever gig) // Rochester, March 16

We're both honoured and sad to be hosting the last ever Moustache of Insanity gig. Purely by accident rather than design, but it does seem somewhat appropriate that the Moustache journey ends in the basement of an Chinese restaurant in Rochester. For all of you London folks curious about making the ...

Shame about losing This Many Boyfriends from the lineup today, but nice to be getting one more Moustache of Insanity show!

This was really, really fun.

Spending the night on the M25 on the way home was rather less fun.

Can we move it to a rather less snowy month next time round?
