Re: Sheffield

Also - I'm definitely going to Preston Friday if anyone would like a lift. I'm staying in a Premier Inn. I'm planning to drive there in the afternoon so I can have a detour to good old fun packed Blackpool and eat chips on the windy sea front. Coming back Saturday lunchtime-ish.

Re: Sheffield

I think Penny is going to Preston and staying in a Travelodge. I was thinking of driving there and back on the night but its further than I thought, so I might take the hotel option too. I'll still be driving so can offer a lift if you fancy it? What venue are you playing tomorrow? I may well come a...

Re: Sheffield

Sorry to sound like a cynical old harbinger of doom, but recent events regarding the trees on Rustlings road have smashed whatever trust I had in the council to smithereens. I don't think they give two hoots about anything that benefits the people of Sheffield to be honest. Its all about money these...

Re: Sheffield

http://www.savesheffieldtrees.org.uk/ Scroll down to the facebook bit and read Excellent Matt's post dated 22 Nov 2016. I'd heard about them chopping down trees and building the dam at Rivelin Valley - I didn't realise they were part of the same plan though. I'd actually heard kind of the opposite ...

Get off the bloody fence, Chantelle :)
Also learned about the Council's flood plans today which seem to involve chopping most of Sheffield's woodland down. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Re: Indietracks 2016 photos and memories

Two white cranes
Songs for Walter
Lovely eggs
Comet Gain
Were my highlights. Also stopping off to star gaze in the peak district during the drive home on Saturday night was pretty special.

Re: what book are you reading?

I'm currently reading The Bees by Laline Paull. Its a really good take on the traditional adventure story what with them being bees and mostly female and all. I haven't finished it yet but so far its pretty addictive.
