(Other than 'Sheela-na Gig' which is one of my favourite things to dance to.) But there's a new 'un by her that's been on the radio a few times and it's ace. Give it a spin if you get chance.
Isn't it mandatory to refer to her as Peej? Concur on the general point (though I haven't heard the new one). I always thought 'Dress' was pretty good though.

I like it. It seems to be very much a continuation of the work she did on Let England Shake which is a brilliant album and well worth a listen.

From this article (http://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/f ... -list-live) comes this snippet:
Global success: Adele
This award is given to the British act to have achieved the greatest global success in the preceding year. Who else did you think was going to win this one? Comet Gain?

In a better world...

I avoided the event itself, but this is a good and funny liveblog:

Which nineties indie band are you?

I'm The Magnetic Fields, apparently. Disappointing if I'm honest, but they've got me down to a T.
You’re not a sociable person by any stretch of the imagination, but you care deeply for the people you let into your life. You have a droll sense of humor and absolutely no patience for fools. You don’t meet many people you’re into, but when you fall in love, you fall very hard.

Same here.

I did it again with a different set of answers and got Neutral Milk Hotel. I should have stuck with what I had.

You got: The Flaming Lips

You’re outgoing and charming, and are always coming up with big crazy ideas. You have a unique perspective on life, and do your best to help your friends and family through hard times. You have a very open mind, and try to make people around you feel welcome and loved.
That's almost exactly the opposite of me.

I can't say that I had you down as a conventional, closed minded bigot who tries to make everyone feel unwelcome and hated. I've been reading you all wrong!

Ha ha. It's more the first half I was thinking of. I'd like to think I am all of the things in the second half but I don't think I am more so than than anyone else. Certainly not enough to make them my notable characteristics.

So what I meant is I'm introvert and awkward with little imagination who has similar views on life to most people I know.

I expect you sell yourself a bit short. He does sound a bit like a hippie version of the Fonz though. Feeling increasingly good to be Magnetic Fields.

I got Belle & Sebastian. I am the only person on this forum/in the international indiepop underground who doesn't really like them. Sigh.

I did quite enjoy that song. Fair play, Buzzfeed survey.

I can't normally be arsed with this stuff when it's on Facebook, but if we're doing it on Anorak I'll make the effort.

You’re so relaxed and confident that you make every clever thing you say and do seem utterly effortless. You’re somehow very highbrow and totally unpretentious at the same time. You’ve got so much style that it’s wasted.
Can't argue with that.

Belle and Sebastian.
And I went back and refilled it in with my 2nd choices.
And still got Belle and Sebastian. Doesn't specify which era though...

I am Belle & Sebastian. Stuart Murdoch on the other hand is apparently Sleater Kinney.

i got Guided By Voices
You’re extremely imaginative, and the only thing you enjoy as much as being creative is drinking with your friends. You’re often silly and gregarious, which distracts people from noticing that you’re sometimes rather sad. You’re a proud nonconformist.
alright.. i never listened to them but i know people who do

Guided by Voices are great. I got Neutral Milk Hotel (which is nice) although the questions were your typical "choose the least wrong answer" type.
Toot toot.
