"Listen up. I know the shit you've been saying behind my back. You think I'm stupid. You think I'm immature. You think I'm a malformed, pathetic excuse for a font. Well think again, nerdhole, because I'm Comic Sans, and I'm the best thing to happen to typography since Johannes fucking Gutenberg."
Quite funny.

Heh. Weirdly, I was reading that just this morning and it was in Times New Roman but now it's in Comic Sans.

Re: Fonts
So good. I was just sent that by my colleague! We have arguments in our office (good-natured, of course) because one of us is MAD into comic sans. So much so that she had one of our workbooks published in it. THE WHOLE THING (@25 pages). She's young (26), pretty suave, incredibly talented and super educated. It just does not compute for me. :/ Only good thing about her leaving later in the summer: when those workbooks get reprinted, we will have them done in a standard Arial or Tahoma!
Actually, my colleague talks like this ^^ so there must be a connection in there...!Need to soften the blow of a harsh message about restroom etiquette? SLAM. There I am. Need to spice up the directions to your graduation party? WHAM. There again. Need to convey your fun-loving, approachable nature on your business' website? SMACK. Like daffodils in motherfucking spring.
There's more than one use for every part

Re: Fonts
What's a good font to set poetry in?
I've been looking around a bit on design forums but everyone just seems to recommend flowery old serif faces that look like they were chiselled out of oak in the early 17th century. No good. I need something solid-looking but more modern than that.

OK, so who's played the kerning game? How perfect can you correctly space your letters?
I impressed myself by getting 82/100.

Re: Fonts
I just got two 100 / 100 scores in a row! Then followed that up with a disappointing 65.
It's a lottery, this kerning.
edit: Then another 100, then a 49, then a final 100! I am nothing if not WILDLY inconsistent. Final score 84/100 though...

Re: Fonts
Can anyone recommend a cursive font that doesn't look completely shit, please? Big ask, I know. It's for an award certificate type thing.

Re: Fonts
I like that they invented a font for people to use when they're advertising those films for morons. You know the one I mean, right? I dunno what it's called. Moron Film Sans or something probably.

Re: Fonts
Hi Anoraks, what's everybody's favourite font for reading ebooks in?
I've just switched to Charis SIL from the default Droid Serif. It's alright but now I've started fiddling I'm thinking there could be better.
