uh-uh, it's clearly 'the nutter' by peter and the test tube babies
When the people are being beaten with a stick, they are not much happier if it is called 'the People's Stick.'

You've all embarrassed yourselves. Today, the best song ever is clearly the popmonsterjuggernaut, Toxic, by Britney.

With a taste of your lips I'm on a ride, you guys.
This is bad comedy.

Peter grew up in the same small town as me and went to the same school, although he was about four years older. He used to wear a Yes 'Tales Of The Topographic Ocean' T-shirt before he turned punk... and he fucking hates to be reminded of the fact.

He also once met a girl at a gig the Test Tubes were playing in Brighton, and took her back to his flat for coffee afterwards. She called him up a few days later to arrange meeting up in a pub. He toddled off to meet her, but she never showed up.
When he got home he found that his flat had been burgled and the the thief had left him a note saying "Sorry I couldn't make it to the pub, but thanks a lot x"

He hates being reminded of that too.

Oh yeah, this is today's best song ever

I know that this isn't the most obvious Lou Reed or John Cale song to like, but I think the writing is just absolutely beautiful and perfect. And the guitar solo is one of those ones that I love, just sort of teetering-on-the-edge all the time, or something. Songs for Drella is probably the record I listen to most, of all their various things, actually.

the trouble with personalities, they're too wrapped up in style
it's too personal; they're in love with their own guile

Oh man. I for real think it's probably this one. I know it's been posted before, but I'm considering making it Anorak Law that this video get posted at least once a month.

It at least needs to get posted when I'm grumpy at the end of long weeks and still have four hour long graduation ceremonies to sit through.

This last two weeks it's definitely been "The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart" by The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart.

Tonight I am off to see James Holden DJ so maybe I'll change my mind.

(Actually, I doubt it)
Cheers!

Cowboy Junkies' "Sun Comes Up, It's Tuesday Morning". I've loved this song since sixth form, and only just found out it had a video.

For me the best song ever is 'Complete Control' by THE CLASH & it has been that way for over 30 years!
One thing that we've known from the start
Deep down inside, we're punk rockers at heart

No, it's Futuristic Lover by Melody Dog. I have irrefutable scientific proof for this but don't have time to go into it right now.

their "misguided angel" would be a contender for my 'best song ever' list for sure.

I went to see The Primitives last night and right now I can't see any way how there'll be a better song than this, by anyone, ever.
