Just heard this band play their first show! They were so good! They only have one song up on bandcamp, unfortunately.

Boy-girl vocals and songs tagged "dystopia", "apocalyptic" and "dinopop"... I like these guys a lot
I just came across this band while doing some very legitimate research in the CoolDinosaurPictures subreddit and knew I'd seen the name somewhere before. There's an album now. It's nice!

I'm just now listening to my friend Kevin's new project, Practicing Sincerity. It's quite good.

Anyone else on here listening to Claire Cronin? She has a new mini album out and the track "Valentine" on it is one of the best songs I've heard in a long time. Absolutely beautiful. And I love her distinctive voice.

So it turns out that my wife's friend/our babysitter used to be in a bedroom pop band from Texas.

(Our babysitter plays bass and does backing vocals, and plays guitar one one of the songs, but I can't remember which one).

I am liking The Crystal Furs from Texas. The female singer's voice is lovely and they write good choruses. I am already wanting them to play Indietracks 2017.

I can never get the stupid bandcamp code thing to work so just follow the link:

The new Les Claypool/Sean Lennon collaboration album is pretty far out.

I think this song's my favorite:

Having heard the Crystal Furs at Dan Pop-o-matic's house the other day, I agree.

Shades of Alvvays and people like that. Or the more uptempo moments of Slumber Party, if you want to go back ten years. Which I obviously do, all the time.

I also enjoyed our Twitter talk about salsa.

Sauna aren't new--in fact they may already be defunct--but they are new to me. Fun, playful pop. Kinda reminds me of All Girl Summer Fun Band

New to me. Aussie dream pop/post-punk with name admirably ripped from The Sundays

I interviewed them in 2013 because I liked them a lot but I still seem to have mostly forgotten about them afterwards. Time for an update!
